Motivation letter

Dear Sir/Madam

I would like to enter this letter, based on the publicly announced opportunity to gain a
scholarship for a four months period stay at the “Conservatorio Statale di Musica “Antonio
Buzzolla” di Adria school of music.

The main goal of my studies in Italy is to experience a unique atmosphere of this institution
in the town of Adria, and to get to know better the cultural, and the musical treasures of Veneto. In
this region, there are archived pieces of priceless manuscripts from the 19th century, which are
relating to my interests, mainly the literature for the guitar of that period. Working with these
materials i could exponentially expand my knowledge by analyzing, understanding and performing
pieces, that may be unknown not only for me, but also for the public. I can not forget to mention,
that this work of research can also help me with my studies in the future, by providing me material
for further project, thus enabling my school and the Slovak guitar community to gain access to
helpful and interesting pieces of guitar and chamber music literature.

I can not forget to mention that I would have the possibility to study with the world-
renowned interpret and teacher Alberto Mesirca, whom I personally know, and had the opportunity
to enter masterclasses lead by him. Alberto Mesirca belongs to the most recognised performers of
contemporary and historical pieces. Learning beside him not only offers a great teacher for solo
performance, but also his experience with chamber music, and transcription of early music could
be valuable in the future. The extraordinary qualities of this teacher can help me with preparing not
only for international guitar festivals, but also can help me with finalising my BC work. The stay will
serve a purpose with expanding and strengthening my repertoire, helping me with preparing me for
concert performances in the future.

I consider my stay in the Conservatory in Adria to be most important for the growth of my
musicality , activity as a student, and also to successfully finish my studies in the upcoming years

Sincerely yours,
