A paradigm is the way a person views a subject. These subjects can be: themselves,
others, life, the world, etc.

A paradigm shift can cause a person to have a different view about a subject.

The book mentions paradigms of self, paradigms of others, and paradigms of life.

Some examples are friend centered, family centered, boy/girl friend centered, school
centered, sports centered, and work centered.

It is stable because principles will not leave you and principles do not judge based on
outside characteristics.

Some principles are honesty, loyalty, charity, goodness, respect, and gratitude.

One reason is that you grow to dependant on that person, and become unable to do
anything without them.

People might become school centered due to a strong desire to succeed and the high
expectations of those around them.

Someone that is stuff centered may be materialistic and greedy. They also will have a
need to always have the latest technology and clothes.

It is a bad idea because there are all kinds of reasons that friends split up such as
moving to a different city or going to a different college.

It can help in that you can rely on yourself when you are alone in some times in life.

It can help in that you can know relate with them on a deeper level and cause you to be
able to work with them better.
