If we analyze the chapter 5 of the peace agreement document which is related
to the Victims of the Conflict: “Comprehensive System for Truth, Justice, Reparations and Non – Recurrence ”, including the Special Jurisdiction for Peace; and Commitment on Human Rights. It is clear that in the paper everything works perfect and we can see how they proposed to repair the victims and the guerrilla will tell the true about their crimes and the victims or the relatives of the victims will get in most of the cases money, which means that the government in this situation will pay for the reparation of the victims. In fact many victims has already gotten some money, but if we see the list of these beneficiaries, they are the most recognized people, who in the moment were in the national news, because they were politicians or very rich families who had money and fame to call attention from the government and from the mass media and consequently they received all the possible help and of course economical resources for the damage caused by the conflict, but what has happened to those unknown victims, in my opinion there are hundreds of cases that has been forgotten by the guerrilla and by the government and those families who lost a relative, never will know the true, because neither the government nor the guerrilla will tell what really happen with these faceless victims. From my point of view in the majority of the cases regarding crimes committed by the Farc-EP, will have impunity. That why most of the people disagree with the peace process and with the special jurisdiction for the peace.
The article “Human Rights Nightmare Continues in Silence in Colombia”, is just
the support for what I sais above, which is that in paper we have the perfect peace, but it is just to watch news or read newspapers in Colombia, to realize that the violation of the human right is a daily activity, and the most of the times without any appropriate response from the government or other entities in charge if watching the accomplishment of the human rights and still many social leader and human right defender are being killed by armed groups in the country
