Time: 1hour 15 minutes (Mon. Tues. Thurs.
Unit: Fractions Fri) & 40 minutes (Wed.)

General Outcomes: Students will be able to:


 Develop number sense.

Objectives: Students will begin to:


 Demonstrate an understanding of fractions by:
- Explaining that a fraction represents a part of whole
- Describing situations in which fractions are used
- Comparing fractions of the same whole with like denominators.

Resources: Math Makes Sense 3 Pro-Guide, Textbook, Smart Board, IXL; Grade 3
(Understand Fractions – Y.1 to Y.17), Grade 2 (Fractions – V.1 to V.7), Grade 1 (Fractions –
L.1 to L.7) .

Materials: All Materials needed for each lesson, will be ready prior.
