The wall that separate families and

countries has been torn down.
1989 by Phat Ho
The Berlin wall that separated East and the West Germany was torn down. After world war
2, the Soviet Union has done nothing but stealing wealth and resources from East Germany. On
the other side of the wall, unlike the Soviet Union, the US helped Germany to recover by giving
Germany money, food and resources. West Germany became more and more prosperous and
because of this people in the East Germany started to move to the West. This was a problem for
the Soviet Union because not only does it made them look bad, but it also decrease the power
of East Germany. Thus, the Berlin wall was built by the Soviet Union in order to stop the East
German to migrate to the west because of the better living condition and income. However, 28
years after the Berlin wall was built, the USSR was on the verge of collapsing, so people of East
Germany started a mass demonstration for free travel to the West and democracy. East German
government then tried to ease the tension causing by the mass demonstration by announcing
that traveling between East and West will be easier. After the announcement however, people
started to gather around the gate of the Berlin wall and flooded through the gate forcing the
guard to opened the gate. People from both side started started to dance on top of the walls and
other people finding anything around the wall to try and tear it down.
“Now what belongs together will grow together.” - Willy Brandt,
Since the wall that has separated the East and West Germany has been torn down, it’s
only a matter of time until they reunited and become whole again. This event was a humiliation
for the USSR and has proven once again that Capitalist will triumph over Communism and us,
Thai people should feel safer now that Communism is losing power. If the US want to spread
capitalism. Now is the time to act and build a good image for capitalism.

Thai janitor caught stealing diamonds

worth millions of baht from Saudi
Arabian prince.
By Hat Pho
In 1989, a Thai janitor worked for the Saudi Arabian prince. He had access to the prince
bedroom and he stole many diamonds from there including blue diamond by hiding it inside the
vacuum cleaner bag. He then came back to Thailand with the diamond he stole. The Saudi
Arabia emperor asked Thailand for help and the man was caught.
Leading the investigation was a Royal Thai police, Lieutenant-General Chalor Kerdthes. He
managed to arrest the Thai janitor and recovered most of the jewelry. He was sentenced 7 years
in prison, but was release after 3 years due to him confessing and cooperating. Lieutenant-
General Chalor flew to Saudi Arabia to return the diamonds that was stolen and most of people
would think that the story would end there.
However, Saudi Arabian discovered that the blue diamond wasn’t returned and that half of
the diamonds were fake. This was mainly because when the Thai janitor didn’t stole just one
diamond, he stole lots of diamonds, so the police couldn’t tell which was which.
A Saudi Arabian businessman named Mohammad al-Ruwaili who was close to the Saudi
royal family, flied to Bangkok to investigate about this incident on his own. He now went missing
and was presumed murdered and because of this the relationship between Thailand and Saudi
Arabia is now all time low. Saudi Arabia government now charged a lot more money when
somebody wanted to travel to or from Thailand. They even stop issuing work visa for thailand
due to the fact that the case was left unsolved and the missing murdered of the businessman.
There are rumor that the Royal General himself was the one stealing the blue diamond. If
this is true then it show how much corruption is in Thai police and governments, which showed
their incompetence and suggest future possibility of the need to reform.
Typhoon traveled across Thailand, More
than 800 death.
1989 by Ho Phat
November 1989, Typhoon Gay formed around a monsoon trough over the Gulf of
Thailand. The areas between Chumphon and Rayong Provinces were severely affected by
heavy rains, high winds and large swells.
All typhoon started off as a tropical thunderstorm and the strong wind pull in moisture from the
ocean. The moisture was then converted into heat and that heat caused more air to flow into the
center of the storm causing evaporation. All the heat and air then flow toward the top and thus
created a typhoon. This exact event happened around the monsoon trough over the Gulf of
Thailand. The typhoon that was formed there traveled westward to Chumphon and Rayong and
because of this during the past few days the amounts of rainfall peaked at 194 mm during the
typhoon time at Chumphon. Not only that, but many ways of communication were disrupted and
electricity went out in most areas south of Bangkok by the typhoon as well and many of those
households remained without power for weeks. Thankfully, King Bhumibol was aware of the
typhoon. His majesty correctly predicted the course the typhoon would take and ordered police
and soldiers to help transporting citizens and their belonging.
“Thanks to his majesty the king, I was saved from the typhoon.” Somchai Wisetkaew,
Typhoon survivor
However not everybody could be saved during the typhoon. We’ve 833 people confirmed
dead, while 134 went missing. Moreover, more than half of the amount of people died came
from Chumphon. Every area that the typhoon goes through was badly damaged, so expect
there to be a new construction work ordered by the government soon. If there’s not, the rich
might be okay, but other than that will need to spent a lot of money to restore their home and if
they’re farmer they might need to start growing new crops ASAP because all their crops was
destroyed by the typhoon.

Ten thousand of Chinese killed by the

hand of the Chinese government in
Tienanmen Square, Beijing
By Pho Hat
In 1989, Beijing, Chinese military open fired on the people protest in Tienanmen
Square. There was a protest lead by students for democracy in Beijing, the capital of the
People's Republic of China, in 1989. The protest started as a memorial for Hu Yaobang. Hu
Yaobang, a famous controversial politician died. Students lead the demonstration in Tiananmen
Square.
The protest draws 1.2 million people to protest against the communist regime. However,
the protests were forcibly suppressed after the government declared martial law. Troops with
automatic rifles and tanks killed at least several hundred demonstrators trying to block the
military's advance towards Tiananmen Square.
The overall number of civilian deaths has been estimated variously from 180 to 10,454.
The event became known as Tiananmen Square Massacre. After China announced martial law,
they started to block website and search results with the word, “democracy”, “Tiananmen
Square”, etc. and they even blocked google. China is trying to erase this event from the history
of China and from people mind. This showed us that apparently, China government only know
how to solve problem through violence, bloodshed and later forget it ever happen. Not only that
it showed us that how evil China government can be, but this also showed us how terrifying
dictatorship can be. In dictatorship, soldiers won't stand up for the citizens but they'll only do it
for for the person that hired them. We were lucky that we have functioning democratic
government and not some sort of dictatorship government where things like this can happen.
