The low conductivity model for a current passing through a dielectric fluid can be viewed as the

association of resistances and capacitances in a closed circuit, as how they are combined will
depend on the model adopted (CITE). As it’s known, when an electric field is applied to a fluid, its
molecules polarize and generate a net flow in accordance with the EHD theory (CITE), this
polarization creates regions with greater concentration of charges near the interface between
electrode and fluid, called Electric Double-Layer, which behaves as a thin capacitor in parallel with
an resistance, as when the double-layer is formed and charged the current keeps flowing through,
associated to it in series there is another great resistance representing the inverse of the fluid global
conductivity.
