Introduction to Plan Templates

BTS quick configuration needs the templates.

 The Plan Templates fall into 4 types: Public template, GSM, UMTS
and LTE Radio templates.
 Different modes of products share the same Ground Plan
template, but each mode has a different Wireless Plan template.
Therefore, for multi-mode sites, it is necessary to fill in a Ground
Plan template and several Wireless Plan templates.

Description of Template Format
1. Conventions of Table Header
 The first row is the database name. Do not modify this row. Otherwise, the data in the
Plan Template will fail to be imported.
 The second row is the field name displayed on OMM.
 The third row gives the description about the value range of a field.
 The fourth row is the specifications, restrictions, and examples of the field data
configuration.
 The fifth row provides the attributes of a field: whether the field is Primary Key, whether
it can be modified (W), and whether it is required to be filled in (I).
 The rows from the sixth row provide the configuration data of each site.

The common columns

 All the sheets starts with three columns A,B and C which are as follow :
 Column A : Result : it’s used to show the result of the import of the template
 Column B : modification indication : it’s used to Add, delete, modify or pass (
ignore ) the data input
 Column C : Managed element object ID : it’s used to indicate the NE ID ( RNC in
this case ) in the EMS

Description of template sheets

 2. Conventions of Sheet Arrangement

 A Choose sheet provides options to create a template. A template can be created
based on the radio system, transmission type, or special scenario

© ZTE All rights reserved 6

Description of Template Sheets

 TemplateInfo: The TemplateInfo

sheet provides the template
information such as the NE type,
template type/version, and
descriptions

© ZTE All rights reserved 7

Description of Template Sheets

 Index sheet: The Index sheet provides hyperlinks to other sheets

and describes the content of each sheet briefly

Path of Acquiring Template

 When there is no existing configuration file template that can be

used for the first time, by applying the planning data export
function in the network management system, the data
configured on the GUI can be exported into a configuration file
template.

 Notice for operations

 1. It is required to perform data backup before batch data modification
(please refer to the corresponding manual for data backup),
 2. Before performing batch data modification, make sure there is no user
operating NE data and there is no time-consuming and resource-consuming
tasks running on the server.
 3. Make sure the export only the managed NE object to be modified to save
memory resource.
 4. In an overall network parameter modification, at most 500 base stations
can be modified each time.
