Moses was born at the time that the king ordered all the baby boys in Egypt to be thrown in the river for
the crocs. Moses mother weaved a basket and let him float on the water the Egyptian princess found
him and named him Moses. Moses tended to sheep growing up. Then in about 1290b.c he saw a
burning bush and heard a voice, He believed that god was telling him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt
to freedom. God helped him by sending 10 plagues to stricken the Egyptians and the last plague killed
the first born child who didn’t put the blood of a lamb. Finally the pharaoh let them go. But after they
left the pharaoh changed his mind and sent an army after the Israelites. Then God opened up the red
sea and let them cross and closed it then, the water drowned the soldiers following them. This day was
marked as “Passover” the day the Israelites escaped Egypt. When they were going back to Canaan they
had to go through the Sinai in the bible its says that Moses went to the top of mount Sinai when he went
there G od gave him the Torah (the ten commandments) so that he and everyone else follows the rules.
The Torah an agreement with god they agreed to follow his laws as long as he took them to Canaan.
