The purpose of this Manual is to provide information regarding repair procedures of French Door Bottom
Mount (FDBM) Refrigerators with the Electronic Control System. This Manual is intended for the use of Service
Technician.

6.1 Perfect Temperature Drawer
(PTD) Cover
Steps to disassemble the Perfect Temperature
Drawer Cover:
1. Lift the PTD Cover and place its one side to the
support provided on either side.

2. Before removing the PTD Cover, remove all the
stored items.

3. Firstly, remove the Crisper Drawer and PTD to 2. Tilt it and slide in through the support to the end

4. Lift the PTD Cover and locate the 8-pin connector 3. Plug in the 8-pin connector in the PTD Cover to

• The Ice Maker motor will run turning the tray and lowering then resetting the Bail Arm continually until you
exit the test.
• If the Bail Arm is allowed to fall freely, the tray will return to the home position and no alarm will sound.
• Hold the Bail Arm up as the tray rotates (thus simulating the presence of a full ice bucket), then the alarm will
sound as the tray returns to home position.
• Unless both the conditions are met, the test is considered as failed.
NOTE
The ice bucket must be removed from the Ice Maker chamber prior to entering this test.
• The Ice Maker motor will run and turns the tray. The Freezer display shows “1” and the “GOOD” light will ON
if the test is passed.
• The test will run continuously until you press ‘Power ON / OFF’ or change to another test.
5. Press and hold ‘FF UP’ for 10 seconds to exit from FF Ice Maker Diagnostic mode. Normally IM Diagnostic
mode will automatically deactivate after 5 min of inactivity.

(Flowcharts)
Service Mode for PTD
1. This mode is accessible only when the drawer is in OFF mode. To enter PTD Service mode, press and hold
temperature increase key (+) and temperature decrease key (-) for 5 seconds.
2. Press ‘UP / DOWN’ button to navigate through the test options and press ‘ON / OFF’ to initiate the tests.
• Fan Test
• Heater Test
• Damper Test
• Display Test
Fan Test
• Press Power ON/OFF to activate the test.
• When test is started, Display will show ‘F1’ when Fan is ON and ‘F0’ when Fan is OFF.
Heater Test
• Press Power ON/OFF to activate the test.
• When test is started, Display will show ‘H1’ when Heater is ON and ‘H0’ when Heater is OFF.
Damper Test
• Press Power ON/OFF to activate the test.
• When test is started, Display will show ‘d1’ when Damper is opened and ‘d0’ when Damper is closed.
• Display will show ‘_°F’ until the main control board responds with associated sensor temperature
reading.

Display Test
• Display shows ‘L0’ for this test.
• Display will cycle through all the display segments with a minimal ON time for each segment.
4. Press and hold the temperature increase key (+) for 5 seconds, or no key pressed in 5 minutes
returns to the OFF mode of operation.
