Objectives of the field visit:

1. To gain enough information about site investigation process.
2. To understand and identify the difficulties/ barriers in practical work in the fields.
3. To provide constructive feedback as soon as possible according to the findings.
4. To implement theoretical study that have been learn in the class and to put in practically on
site situation
5. To widen the knowledge on site situation

Tentative Program:
Time Activities
8:30 am Headed to Masjid Universiti Pagoh.
8:30 am – 8:45 am Arrived at the location of site visit, Masjid Universiti Pagoh. All
students need to be equipped with safety helmet.
8:45 am – 9:00 am Welcoming words by Project Manager of the project, Dato IR
Jamal bin Ismail. He introduced the project along with his team
member.
9:00 am – 9:30 am Mr Karthigasoo, the Safety and Health Officer of the site
explained about rules and regulation that needed to be taken into
note while in the site to avoid from any accident from happen.
 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety
helmet and safety boot are utmost important to be wore
before enter the construction site.
 He briefed about safety condition of site.
9:30 am – 10:50 am Dato IR Jamal explained about the structure on site such as
quarters, minaret, mosque and TNB sub-station.
 He also explained in detail about type of foundation used
on site.
 The structural, architectural, electrical and mechanical
component for each building were also explained.
 Our lecturer, Dr Tuan Noor Hasanah binti Tuan Ismail
thanked the whole team for their briefing.
10:50 am – 11:00 am Question and answer session.
11:00 am – 11:50 am Dato IR Jamal and his team assisted us to the site location.
 He showed us the detention pond that his team have
excavated.
 He also gave opportunity to some of the students to climb
up the dome and see the structure of the dome by
themselves.
 Next, he guided us to railing area where still in the
construction.
 Lastly, he showed one of the manhole and explained in
detail about the area around the mosque.
11:50 am – 12:00 pm Photograph session the whole project team, lecturers and fellow
students.
12:00 pm – 12:15 pm Last session after site visit.
 Dato IR Jamal gave his last word and some advices to us.
 Dr Tuan Noor Hasanah thanked the whole team for their
corporation and time spent for this site visit.
12:15 pm Headed to UTHM at Edu Hub Pagoh

Conclusion:
In a nutshell, all student managed to gain more information about the condition on site in order
to give them experience on real site situation. We discovered how the site investigation were
processed in this project which managed to know about the soil strata beneath the earth. Next,
each one of us have been identified the barriers in practical works such for instance, managing
a worker is harder that it thoughts. We must managed all the needs for the workers in order to
make them happier to work for us. Thirdly, we managed to implement all the theoretical
information that we have learnt through the class since the first year until now. We all believed
that we have widened our knowledge on real site situation on hope it does help us on applying
for a construction job. Finally, all the local team and the construction team managed to
exchange some ideas and all were happy with the site visiting.
