tried to build the nationalism in the countries by forcing people
to wear a hat every time people went outside, speak only Thai,
wear only Thai traditional outfit, and etc. Most of Thai people
disagree with this event since the government used the violence
to force people to follow the rules. Islamic people were affected
the most because they are not allowed to follow the rules of
their religion. One of the is Islamic people in Pattani said, “I
think this is not right, we have a right to wear whatever we want
and a right to choose our own religion. Isn’t it too much? They
almost kill us.” In my opinion, if nationalism has to come with
the death of innocent people. It is not worth it. People have a
right to choose whatever in their about believes, no one can
change people mind or how they believe. In the future, The
government might have to change their mind to accept the
different religion.

An unexpected typhoon Gay was moving toward in Chumphon and destroy everything. Because of

Typhoon, a low-pressure area of
atmosphere spinning around ,moves from the
Gulf of Thailand toward the land. Lead to
the typhoon that Thai have ever met before.
It caused flood and storm and it killed
people more than 400, 38,000 houses were
ruined, over 1000 road and 100 bridge were
damaged, this damage reaches to 11 billion
baths. Even though the meteorological
department has been reported in the news,
but because of lacking of knowledge, the
local citizens believe that it will not
happen. So they did not prepare for it.
Even though this is a small typhoon but it
is powerful. So the damage was over that
people thought. One of Thai said, “there
was a bunch of dark cloud coming toward me.
The storm was stronger and stronger but it
is weird because there was no thunder. I
was so scared. Once the storm was gone, I
saw the tree fall over my neighbor house,
the roof was broken, the flood was around
my knees. It was my nightmare. ”The
government should find or create the
donation to help reconstructing people
house and their facilities. This might be
the best way to help them out with the
accomodation. Also, they should take care
of people feeling toward that occurrence.
Since this situation was a big lost of Thai
people and it is going to be a hard
experience for them.
