COLOR IN MOTION 5K

COLOR IN MOTION 5K IS A CHARITY COLOR RUN COMING TO JACKSONVILLE DECEMBER 29TH.

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – On December 29th Color in Motion 5k is coming to the

Jacksonville Equestrian Center, 13611 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL at 9am. Color in

Motion 5k is a fun race for anyone who wants to get some exercise and have a fun time. After

each kilometer of the race, volunteers throw colored powder at the runners covering them from

head to toe. There will be an after party with vendors, music, dancing and more color. The cost

will be $45 until October 1, $50 until December 1 and $55 any time after that. More information

can be found at colorinmotion5k.com/events/Jacksonville.

At Color in Motion 5k, we have learned through our many experiences the importance of

donating our means to charity. When we were children, it seemed as if nothing could ever go

wrong. The problems of the world would be solved with a Band-Aid and a popsicle. As we have

grown up, they have become more complicated. We have learned about the world and the people

in it. Our parents have taught us to give to others, especially those in need. We donate a
percentage of our profits to a local charity because we know of their needs and we want to make

the world a better place.

This 3.1 mile color race is not about time, time yourself if you must, but it is more about

having fun and enjoying time with friends and family. Participants may run by themselves or

they can create a team, whichever they prefer. No matter your age or physical ability you can

participate in this event. This race is more about having fun and adding color to your life than

speed or competition. Physical wellness is an essential part of any happy, healthy lifestyle, so

why not have fun while becoming healthier? Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

Pets are not allowed. See website for more details on obtaining a waiver for children and other

general information.

The idea of throwing color, as is done at Color in Motion 5k races, began with the Hindu

holiday called Holi. The holiday originated as a festival marking the end of winter and beginning

of spring. It also has spiritualreligious significance in the religion based from an ancient story.

Today this holiday is celebrated with a festival of colors. This holiday involves singing, dancing,

celebrating and a relaxing of the caste system for the day.

Runs like Color in Motion 5k, have been sweeping the nation as a unique alternative to

the classic 5k race. Color in Motion 5k races are held throughout the United States. They hold

races year-round. For more information contact sheree@colorinmotion.com.
