Beginning:

Julia: “Hello and welcome to our podcast. In this episode, we will talk about how violence in schools
support the idea of evil existing in our world today. Sadly, there have been many different
occurrences of violent actions being committed by students in recent years, and that trend does not
seem to be going down. There have been 11 reports of gun violence in schools in the 2018 school
year alone. Stay tuned to hear interviews with students at Troy High about their thoughts on their
own safety with in regard to the evil people that exist in today's society”

Will: “Youth violence is a major issue throughout the United States. According to the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), youth violence is the third leading cause of death for young
people ages 15 to 24. The CDC states that youth violence includes things like slapping, kicking,
punching, and bullying. Along with the physical harm that is being inflicted upon students, there is
some intense psychological damage being done as well. In past years, 65 percent of public schools
recorded that one or more violent incidents had taken place (according to the National Center for
Education Statistics). Students' lives continuing to be put at risk because they are being exposed to
the evils in society that have now seemingly become so mainstream. After multiple school violence
incidents, teachers and students are focused on the negativity of the somewhat horrific world we live
in. Listen closely, as we interview a few students who walk the same halls as you and I.”

good or born evil?”
 Will: “Do you believe that the students are making a difference for the future?”

End:

Ally: “(End by stating all 17 victims from Stoneman Douglas High School) Alyssa Alhadeff, Scott
Biegel, Martin Duque, Nicholas Dworet, Aaron Feis, Jaime Guttenberg, Chris Hixon, Luke Hoyer,
Cara Loughran, Gina Montalto, Joaquin Oliver, Alaina Petty, Meadow Pollack, Helena Ramsay, Alex
Schacter, Carmen Schentrup, and Peter Wang. These are only some of the many students affected
by various school violence incidents. Innocent people are being harmed by the morally evil people of
this world. School violence is only one of the many reasons to believe that people must be born evil
to perform such awful acts.
