Definition of CSD Code Numbers

A CSD code is an alphanumerically code of 22 positions (though not all digits are used for drawings or
letters numbering), subdivided into 5 ordinal sections and having the following appearance.

P I C L S D N R P, I, C, L, S, D, N, R- Ordinal
Sections
L 2 R - S - 7 0 0 0 - G I S - B D - E S O - 0 0 1 - 0
P P P P – Project Code
I I - Identification of drawing
C C C C C - Codification from the List
of Correspondence Subjects
L L L L - location of the project
S S S – Project Stage
D D D D- Discipline
N N N N- Numbering Code
H H H H H H H H – Hyphen or Dash

Ordinal Section P, Project code, contains three letters: Correspond to the project codification (BUJ -
shortcut), followed by a dash:

Ordinal Section I, is for the Identification of drawings, for which part of the project is addressed, S – for
substation drawings and L – for transmission lines drawings, one digit/letter followed by dash :

Ordinal Section C, is the Codification from the List of Correspondence Subjects, Annex 10 of the
Project Manual, four digits followed by dash:

The Series 6000 and assigned sections from 6100 to 6900 are allocated for Civil Design & General
Design for Substations.
