Client:
We are working for health insurance domain to develop the informatica mapping,
for that, My client is providing different type disease like(malaria, cancer, AIDS,
cholera, etc) to customer based on their requirement.
If the customer is not impacted for any disease's then client is providing some
benefits to the customer for 2nd year renewal time.
How to implement:
Client is having around 40 braches in U.S. wrt we are getting different type of data
formats like RDBMS, Flat Files, XML files as source and final warehousing(Target) is
DB(Oracle or Teradata)
To develop this project we are using Star Schema and Snowflake schema design
and 4Fact Tables and 12 Dimensional Tables to develop the mapping in this project.
• Understand the business requirement as per the client requirement to create the
mappings
• Developed ETL mappings, transformations using Informatica PowerCenter9.1
• Implemented source and target definitions in PowerCenter-Designer.
• Developed mappings using various transformations like update strategy, lookup, stored
procedure, Router, Filter, sequence generator, joiner, aggregate transformation and
expression.
• Involved to designed to cater the slowly changing dimensions.
• Used various stored procedures in the mappings.
• Developed several reusable transformations and mapplets that were used in other
mappings.
• Worked on the server manager to run several sessions and batches concurrently and
sequentially.
• Mappings were designed to the utmost performance by optimizing expressions in
expression editor
of transformation, filtering source data at the source qualifier, and applying transformation
Logic.
• Used workflow manager and monitor to create, schedule, monitor and send the
message in case of process failures
• Envovled in ETL Testing to test the mapping before moving into production
environment
• Indentified the development error to before moving to UAT Environment
• Working with client in meeting and calls
• Scheduled the mapping by using CTRL+M
Working with parameters and short cut key to increase the mapping
Unit Testing:
