There are 2 main options how to get Warsaw West (Warszawa Zachodnia) railway station,
from where you get the train to Toruń. Buses are not recommended (necessity of bus change
during the course).

1) TRAIN (SKM: Fast City Rail) - most recommended → directly delivers you to the
Central Warsaw railway station); Estimated time of journey: 30 min, cost: 4,40 zł – this one ticket
(more informations below):

After landing and check-in, exchange some money (to buy tickets or for a taxi), then go to exit in
lower level in Terminal T1 (see picture below – there were some changes since last year). Go along
the terminal straight ahead and you will see two entrances to the station.

There is the line „S3” to the Warsaw West (Warszawa Zachodnia) railway station. Line S3 is leaving
about every hour /Waliszew as a destination/ target station (see tables below).

There is also the „S2” line (/Sulejówek Miłosna/ destination. It has different departures time, but the
same table of stations as above.

2) TAXI (recommended if your plane will arrive with a delay and you won’t get a
train) Estimated time of journey: 35 min (+/-10min), estimated cost: 30-40 zł.

Ignore the first taxi-drivers, who will „wait for you” in the terminal and personally offer you their
services. Don’t take the first TAXI cab after leaving the terminal too.

How to get a taxi?

After exit from the terminal, turn right and take one of these taxi cabs, which have inscription with a
tariff on the side window (it should be something about 2,40-3,00 zł for 1 kilometer; there is
something about 8 kilometers from airport to train station). There are also 3 taxi corporations, which
are recommended by the Airport:

The cost should be about 30-45 zł. The payment is after the course.

3) TICKETS
In Warsaw there are 2 main types of time tickets (the same for all public transport - city trains [SKM]
and for buses):

1. with 20-minutes of duration time since validation in a ticket-vending, price: 3,40 zł;

2. with 75-minutes of duration time since validation in a ticket-vending, price: 4,40 zł.

We recommend you to buy the second one, because of the longer time of validity, and just in case of
delay or neccessity of getting bus or another city train.

You can buy tickets directly in trains or before you get train in special automats on stations (there are
in the airport terminal too).

If you have only bills (paper money), you can buy tickets in the newsstand „Relay” which is in the
terminal of arrivals.

In the train, please validate your ticket in a ticket-vending just before the train departures.

When you get the Central Warsaw railway station, refer to timetable (of depurtures) and check which
platform is your. Such tables hang on walls in every passage and - additionally - next to escalators to
each platform. To be sure you can always get an information desk or ask someone - young Poles (but
not only them) can usually speak English.
