CUPBOARD 1 CARDS, CUPBOARD 2 CARDS, RECIPE 1 CARDS & RECIPE 2 CARDS

How to use the game

• Divide your class into pairs A and B.

• Give all the As the cupboard 1 and the Bs the recipe 1 cards.
• The object of the game is for the Bs to find out what they have in the cupboard, and
work out what they need to buy to make the recipe.
• To do this, they will have to ask the As questions, ‘Is there any flour?’ How much is
there? ‘Are there any eggs?’ ‘How many are there?’
• By comparing the amounts in the cupboard with the amounts needed for the recipe
they will know how much they need to get.
• They should complete the shopping list at the side of the recipe.
• When the have finished, you can repeat with the cupboard 2 cards and the recipe 2
cards, reversing roles this time.
