Dinosaur extinction theory

Intrinsic gradualists

1. This theory is that the Dinosaurs extinction was caused by something terrestrial and
happened gradually over time , like a combination of volcanism and plate tectonics
2. Lava rocks in India show they originated in the Earth’s mantle, the oceans especially the
interior seaway in north america were experiencing a regression they were receding from the
land. A less mild climate would have been the result and this would have taken a long time
3. It seems more likely because nature takes time to change and some creatures survived this
extinction event so perhaps this is how because if one giant asteroid or many smaller ones
collided with earth there would be some large craters and a bit less likely that many creatures
would survive
Extrinsic catastrophists

1. Well this theory is that something extraterrestrial suddenly caused the destruction like the
most common thought of reason an asteroid

a likely candidate for the crater at Chicxulub, on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, they also
found shocked quartz in the rocks of the K-T boundary showing the passage of a shock wave
so powerful that it actually rearranged the crystal structure of quartz grains
3. It seems possible that if several smaller thought still quite large asteroids crashed it could
have caused a extinction level event though still could have allow some to survive
I don’t know which one to choose because both seem possible and their is some evidence to support
both theories for all i know could have been combination of both that killed the dinosaurs
The big bang theory
1. Dynamo theory describes the process through which a rotating, convecting, and electrically
conducting fluid acts to maintain a magnetic field

is known as tidal heating, and it helps keep the interior liquid. A liquid interior that can conduct

Nazca plate, Cocos plate, North American plate, Caribbean plate, South American plate,
African plate, Arabian plate, the Antarctic plate, and the Scotia plate.
