THANKSGIVING PROGRAM

Good morning everyone. Welcome to Jardin de

Remedios Resort. And welcome to the thanksgiving
celebration that the family Marcos wants to share with you
in celebration of the blessing their family has received
throughout the years, especially for MR. GIOVANNI
MARCOS GALAT having graduated in college with the
degree – Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management at the
Divine Word College of Laoag this school year.
Congratulations

At this point in time, I’d like to welcome you all.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to gather with family

and friends and reflect on the blessings each year. Many
of us experience renewed hope and faith because we turn
our eyes onto what is most important, and today, that
sense of thanksgiving is taking manifestation.

Ladies and gentlemen, before we continue with the

celebration, let us offer a single moment to God and offer
this prayer of thanksgiving. Let us all pray:
 God of all blessings, source of all life, giver of all grace:
We thank you for the gift of life:
for the breath that sustains life,
for the food of this earth that nurtures life,
for the love of family and friends without which there would be
no life.

We thank you for the mystery of creation:

for the beauty that the eye can see,
for the joy that the ear may hear,
for the unknown that we cannot behold filling the universe with
wonder,
for the expanse of space that draws us beyond the definitions of
our selves.

We thank you for setting us in communities:

for families who nurture our becoming,
for friends who love us by choice,
for companions at work, who share our burdens and daily tasks,
for strangers who welcome us into their midst,
for people from other lands who call us to grow in
understanding,
for children who lighten our moments with delight,
for the unborn, who offer us hope for the future.
 We thank you for this day:
for life and one more day to love,
for opportunity and one more day to work for justice and peace,
for neighbors and one more person to love
and by whom be loved, for your grace
and one more experience of your presence,
for your promise:
to be with us, to be our God, and to give salvation.

For these, and all blessings,

we give you thanks, eternal, loving God,
through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

MRS. VENUS MARCOS MARANOC will now welcome
everyone in today’s celebration.

My dear friends and guests, at this point in time, I would

like to introduce to you the hosts of this celebration. They have
earnestly wanted to share this moment of joyful celebration with
you.
 First and foremost, please welcome, MR. GIOVANNI
MARCOS GALAT, the graduate. He successfully graduated
Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management at the Divine Word
College of Laoag, and he is third of 4 siblings in the family.
Without whose love, patience, understanding and
dedication, Giovanni could have not gone this far, so let me
introduce to you also, MR. ROMULO VISITACION GALAT and
MRS. CORAZON MARCOS GALAT – a Certified Nursing
Assistant, and is presently a Caregiver at the Skyline Health
Care Center. She also had taken her CAN course at the Solano
School of Nursing in San Jose, California.
I am also pleased to introduce to you the siblings of
Giovanni.
 Randall, a Certified Nursing Assistant also in Skyline in
San Jose, California.
 Fatima, who earlier took college course at DWCL, but
emigrated to California and also is a CAN from the
Daughters of Charity, in Los Altos Hills in California
 Vincent, who took up Nursing course at DWCL, and is now
working as a Pharmacy Technology Assistant of the
Walgreens Company in San Jose, California.
Please give them a warm welcome, my friends. Thank you.

dedication and bring you more happiness to live by as time goes
on.

Once more, Congratulations to you and your family for

having reached this far and may God richly bless you more and
more.

But to end this part, I would like to share everyone and

inspire all for this accomplishments and thanksgiving the family
has offered today. This event I would say, is the meaning of
success.
 Giovanni and everyone else, one of the most important key
steps to achieving success in life is to know the meaning of
success for your personal life. The true meaning of success
goes far beyond the common definitions of success, such as
having a lot of money, being wealthy, having a lot of tangibles
and earned degrees.
Quite the opposite: true success in life cannot be measured
with the above-named factors, but instead with the amount of
people that are able to live a better and more advanced life
because of what you created.
This is the meaning of success. Not the trophies people are
collecting in their lives. Media and society let us often conclude
that living a successful life means to be extraordinarily wealthy
and have a lot of tangibles. But the meaning of success is to live
a happy life and to make this world a better place for everyone.
