Big Ideas/Unit Goals:

 Students will discover the facts about Julius Caesar and determine whether his assassination indeed marked the beginning of the Roman Empire.
 Students will recognize the Government of the Roman Republic and compare it to the United States Government
 Students will define vocabulary words and use the newly acquired vocabulary to summarize each lesson.
 Students will determine when the Roman Republic ended and when the Roman Empire began by watching a video as an introduction to this unit.
 Students will describe the different advances in technology that came about during the ruling of Augustus Caesar by drawing and defining one in

Unit Summary:
