Abstract paintings and drawings are a playground of visual delights. In abstract art, the artist can create
worlds of color and contemplation. Abstract artists use form, color, line, texture, pattern, composition
and process to present ideas and evoke emotions in a poetic. So, I choose this painting that represent
my mother or “INDA” ever since I can remember, my mother has been a strong individual. She raised my
brothers and sister and I financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually by herself. My mom gave her
all, by that I mean, she worked two jobs to make sure her children ate properly and that they had the
essential amenities to grow happily and successfully. She would encourage me by simply saying,
"Complaining is a useless way to solve problems, but becoming active on the issue is a great way to
conquer it. My mother has always had strong faith and views in her religion. When I was younger, every
day and night, she would bring prayer time to me and my siblings attention. My mom instilled as a child,
my mother displayed the seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed her faith in us at an early
age, that prayer time was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it.
My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for our bills and
buying groceries for us. From a distance, my mother appears to be an ordinary round woman with an
irritable attitude. In public, she projects an image of high maintenance with power and control. When in
her usual indecipherable mood, she wears a refined expression as she puts on a pout that reveals her
plump cheeks. It took a long time to value the exceptional influence my mother has been on my life. She
is the type of person who has thoughtful discussions about the importance of building a united family.
The type of mother who always has time to listen when I need to express my feelings. She is the one
that I could never live without, the reason I am standing till this day, is her. My mother is who I thank
and admire most of all. Without her dedication and hard work, I would be in the squatters of the
Philippines, stuck in a place where it is a very difficult place to make a good enough living or even make
enough money to keep the bread on the table for your family. There are so many great traits I love and
admire about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair to write about just one. Being strong,
generous and optimistic are all some great personality traits, which my mother possesses.
