Present simple, Present continuous.
Present simple is used to describe:
a permanent situation: I live in the town where I was born.
a fact or something that is true: The Earth is round.
regular activities ( habits): I wake up every morning at eight o’clock.

FREQUENCY ADVERBS (ADVERBIOS DE FRECUENCIA QUE SE UTILIZA PARA DECIR CON QUE
FRECUENCIA HACEMOS ALGO O SUCEDE ALGO)
Se ponen delante de los verbos : She usually eats in the kitchen at night
Cuando el verbo es am/is/are was/were entonces van detrás: He is always
tired.
Se pone siempre detrás de los
modales(can/could/will/would/might/may/must/…): I can never understand
him.
Usually, occasionally, often, sometimes pueden ir también al principio o al
final de la oración: Occasionally, I do sport in the park. I feel tired sometimes.
Never nunca se pone al principio o al final de la oración y siempre va en
oraciones afirmativas (significa nunca y convierte la oración afirmativa en
negativa).
¿Cómo preguntamos con qué frecuencia hacemos algo? Con la siguientes
expresiones: How often do you…….? Do you ever…….? Do you always…..?
NEVER (NUNCA)
A FEW, A LITTLE, MANY, MUCH, A LOT OF, LOTS OF: son cuantificadores que van
delante de los nombres contables o incontables modificándolos. Hablan de cantidades.
Para pequeñas cantidades y con nombres contables usamos A FEW: a few students
(unos pocos de studiantes). Only a few students understood the lesson .
Para pequeñas cantidades y con nombres incontables usamos A LITTLE: The police
gave a little information about the robbery at the jewellery.
Para grandes cantidades y con nombres contables usamos MANY : How many people
are there in your school?/Many houses were painted after the hurricane.
Para grandes cantidades, con nombres incontables y en oraciones negativas e
interrogativas usamos MUCH: There isn’t much food in the fridge/ Does she have
much homework?
Para grandes cantidades con nombres incontables e incontables usamos LOTS OF A
LOT OF: We had a lot of fun / she has lots of friends (loads of friends)/Does she have a
lot of money?
Si no hay nombre después del cuantificados ponemos solamente a lot sin of: I like
him a lot.
STATE VERBS: son verbos que describen estados y no acciones .Estos verbos no suelen
ir en presente continuo.
Thoughts (para hablar de pensamientos): believe, know, forget, think,suppose,
understand.
Feelings (para hablar de sentimientos): like, hate, want, need, prefer……….
Senses (para hablar de los sentidos): smell, taste, hear, see…….
Possession(para hablar de posesiones): have belong, own(poseer), contain,
include…..
Existence(para hablar de existencia): exist, remain, consist, seem, mean,
matter………….
PREPOSITION OF PLACE: AT IN ON también son preposiciones de lugar
AT Para hablar de un punto en concreto: at home, at the bus stop, at the airport
Para expresiones como: at the school, at the back, at the top at the station at the seaside, at a
party.
ON Para superficies: on the table (encima de la mesa) on the wall (en la pared) on the coast( en la
costa), on the border(en la frontera, en el limite) on the hill( en la colina)
IN Para cuando algo o alguien está dentro de un espacio: in the city, in the town, in the country, in a
building, in a field, in the wáter, in Spain
HI MATTHEW:
Ahora vamos a imaginar que le escribimos una carta a un amigo ingles sobre nuestra
familia y nuestra rutina diaria.
YA TIENES ARRIBA COMO SE HACE LA CARTA. Haz una utilizando vocabulario de
familia y hábitos rutinarios Intenta utilizar un condicional y un presente perfecto y
una pasiva. Decribe a tu familia, dime que haces los deberes en el salón pero que
siempre que tienes un examen estudias en el dormitorio( este siempre que tengo un
examen estudio en el dormitorio es condicional 0 y se utiliza presente simple en las
dos oraciones.
RECUERDA: SALUDO, INTRODUCCIÓN, CUERPO Y DESPEDIDA.
Ahora vamos a imaginar que le escribimos una carta a un amigo sobre el edificio
donde vivimos aquí vamos a utilizar vocabulario de casa adjetivos comparativos
superlativos. Presente perfecto tb se puede usar (pag 135 unit 6). INTENTA ESCRIBIR
UNA ORACIÓN PONIENDO UN NOMBRE INCONTABLE. DI DONDE VIVES (PISO CASA)
EN QUE CIUDAD Y PAIS)
