SERVICE INFORMATION
PRECAUTIONS
Precaution for Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) "AIR BAG" and "SEAT BELT
PRE-TENSIONER" INFOID:0000000008944688

The Supplemental Restraint System such as “AIR BAG” and “SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONER”, used along
with a front seat belt, helps to reduce the risk or severity of injury to the driver and front passenger for certain
types of collision. Information necessary to service the system safely is included in the SRS and SB section of
this Service Manual.
WARNING:
• To avoid rendering the SRS inoperative, which could increase the risk of personal injury or death in
the event of a collision which would result in air bag inflation, all maintenance must be performed by
an authorized NISSAN/INFINITI dealer.
• Improper maintenance, including incorrect removal and installation of the SRS can lead to personal
injury caused by unintentional activation of the system. For removal of Spiral Cable and Air Bag
Module, see the SRS section.
• Do not use electrical test equipment on any circuit related to the SRS unless instructed to in this
Service Manual. SRS wiring harnesses can be identified by yellow and/or orange harnesses or har-
ness connectors.
PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING POWER TOOLS (AIR OR ELECTRIC) AND HAMMERS
WARNING:
• When working near the Airbag Diagnosis Sensor Unit or other Airbag System sensors with the Igni-
tion ON or engine running, DO NOT use air or electric power tools or strike near the sensor(s) with a
hammer. Heavy vibration could activate the sensor(s) and deploy the air bag(s), possibly causing
serious injury.
• When using air or electric power tools or hammers, always switch the Ignition OFF, disconnect the
battery, and wait at least 3 minutes before performing any service.

Aiming Adjustment INFOID:0000000008944698

When performing headlamp aiming adjustment, use an aiming wall screen.

For details, refer to local regulations.
Before performing aiming adjustment, check the following.
1. Keep all tires inflated to correct pressures.
2. Place vehicle on flat surface.
3. See that the vehicle is unloaded (except for full levels of coolant, engine oil and fuel, and spare
tire, jack, and tools). Have the driver or equivalent weight placed in the driver's seat.
LOW BEAM
NOTE:
The horizontal headlamp aim cannot be adjusted. Only vertical aim is adjustable.
1. Turn headlamp low beam on.

Revision: April 2013 LT-10 2013 D22 LCV

HEADLAMP
< SERVICE INFORMATION >
2. Use adjusting screw to adjust the vertical aim of the lamp.
• Cover the opposite lamp and ensure fog lamps, if A
equipped, are turned off.
• Adjust beam pattern until cut-off line (top edge of illumi-
nation area) is positioned at same height off ground as
B
bulb center (on H-line). Measure cut-off line within dis-
tance A on H-line. See aiming chart following.

LEL378A

LT
WEL536A

If the vehicle front body has been repaired and/or the headlamp assembly has been replaced, check aiming.
Use the aiming chart shown in the figure. L
• Basic illuminating area (shaded) for adjustment should be within the range shown on the aiming
chart. Adjust headlamps accordingly.
