Greetings Dean!

This is to submit the proposed mechanics of the yearlong activity of the USA Bar Review Organization.

1.) House Cup Battle

Mechanics

All Sections in the College of Law are allowed to Participate the Competition

The Section with the highest number of points garnered for the semester/ school year will be awarded
with a Trophy as the Most United Section along with a Complementary prize.

Lecture Series (Patterned after previous years activities for the purpose of illustration)
 OSG Legal Internship Program
 Notarial Practice by Dean Jose Mari Tirol
 How to Survive Law School by Atty Elijo Herrera Bellones
 Taming the Oligopolies through Competition Law
 Rule of Law and Due Process in a state of statelessness
 Threads and Concerns in College Publication
 The West Philippine Sea Arbitration by Hon Justice Francis H. Jardeleza
 Voters Education
 Legal Education Board Seminar

Mechanics

 Points will be given for Attendance of the Students enrolled in the College of Law for such
events.
 Purpose: To raise awareness of the importance of such events as they were organized for the
benefit of the students of the College of Law to be better engaged and to be more proficient in
relevant areas of the Law.
 10 points shall be awarded to the section with the highest percentage of attendance for each
event.
 7 points shall be awarded to the section with the second highest percentage of attendance for
each event.
 5 points shall be awarded to the section with the third highest percentage of attendance for
each event.
 Should there be any ties regarding the percentage of attendance, the same number of points
will be awarded to the sections concerned

Mechanics

 Points will be given for membership of the Students enrolled in the College of Law in the
following student orgs.
 Purpose: To promote the importance of volunteerism in the College of Law and to nurture
future leaders in the college.
 5 points shall be awarded to the section for each student who becomes a member of the above-
mentioned student orgs

Team Building Activities (Patterned after previous years activities for the purpose of illustration)

 Acquaintance Party
 Freshmen Orientation
 College of Law Send-off Party
 Law Day
 Law Night
 Movie Block Screening – Bar Boys

Mechanics

 Points will be given for Attendance of the Students enrolled in the College of Law for such
events.
 Purpose: To raise comradery, unity and friendship among students to make them more effective
in attaining their goals in the college.
 7 points shall be awarded to the section with the highest percentage of attendance for each
event.
 4 points shall be awarded to the section with the second highest percentage of attendance for
each event.
 2 points shall be awarded to the section with the third highest percentage of attendance for
each event.
 Should there be any ties regarding the percentage of attendance, the same number of points
will be awarded to the sections concerned
Interschool Moot Court Competitions

o Red Cross International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Moot Court


o Teehankee Center for The Rule of Law - Justitia Moot Court
o Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition
o Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition

Mechanics

 Points will be given for students enrolled in the College of Law in participating in mootcourt
competitions and similar events.
 Purpose: To Give honor to the College and to promote skills necessary for law students such as
researching, organizing, and presenting information in a compelling fashion.
 5 points shall be awarded to the section for each student who becomes a member of the above-
mentioned student orgs

Outreach Programs, Bar Operations and Departmental Masses

 Sipitan Outreach Program


 Mass of the Holy Spirit
 Mass and Foster
 Bar Operations

Mechanics

 Points will be given for Attendance of the Students enrolled in the College of Law for such
events.
 Purpose: To promote the spirit of volunteerism within the students to attend charitable
activities and activities recommended by the University
 7 points shall be awarded to the section with the highest percentage of attendance for each
event.
 4 points shall be awarded to the section with the second highest percentage of attendance for
each event.
 2 points shall be awarded to the section with the third highest percentage of attendance for
each event.
 Should there be any ties regarding the percentage of attendance, the same number of points
will be awarded to the sections concerned
2.) Golden Pen Awards

Mechanics

• The Student with the most number of hours studied in the Library will Garner the Golden Pen
Award along with a complementary award.

• Purpose: To promote the use of the Library and to increase the productivity of the students of
the College of Law to enable them to be better prepared for their classes, examinations,
Mootcourts and the like

• The Contest is voluntary among the students of the College of law and is not required for all
College of Law Students

• The USA Bar Review Org has partnered with the Staff of the Law Library in order to record the
number of hours studied by each student

• An Official Record Book shall be kept by the Library in order to record the number of hours
utilized by each student for studying in the library

• A College of Law student may record his hours spent by entering his full name and the exact
time for which he entered the library for the day. He shall then affix his signature on the right
side of the document where he entered his name. When he leaves the library, he must indicate
the exact time when he departed from the library and affix his signature.

• The Exact Number of Hours studied in the Library shall be tallied by the members of the Bar
Review Organization and shall be published on the Official social Media Page of the the Bar
Review Organization every month.

• Upon the end of the semester, the person with the highest number of hours studied will Garner
the Golden Pen Award along with a complementary prize.

With your approval dean, we will commence the same activities to the students of USA Law School.
