Description
The IPM Push Installer tool is a utility that can be used to remotely install and uninstall versions of IPM
to one or more target machines.

Requirements
Ports 139 and 445 must be open between machine running the IPM Push Installer and target
deployment machines.

Local Administrator permissions are required on the target machines.

Using the tool

1) Click New to being a new deployment

2) Click Add to add a new computer group

3) OPTIONAL – enter a name for the computer group

4) Select the computer group

5) Click Add to add a computer

6) Select the target machines and click OK

7) Enter the Run As User and Password.

8) Select Install or Uninstall

Note: before installing a new version of IPM using this tool, you must uninstall the previous
version either manually or using the remote installer.

When uninstalling a version of IPM using the remote installer tool you must use the matching
configuration. Ie if IPM 10.100 x64 bit is installed and you want to uninstall you must make sure
the IPM Setup Path points to a (any) version of IPM 10 that is x64. Pointing to a IPM 9 or x86
version will cause this to fail.

9) Enter an IPM Setup Path that points to your downloaded IPM software.

10) Enter a UNC Path which is writeable (at least for the current user) and is reachable from the
target machines

11) OPTIONAL – Save your configuration for use in the future

12) Click Deploy to install or uninstall to the targeted machines
