VENUE: ROBINSONS MALABON

Eligibility
This RAW competition will contest the following CATEGORIES:
1. LUZON OPEN - for ALL duly registered PAP members residing in Luzon (14 years old & up)
NATIONAL INTER–SCHOOL - maximum 24 years based on birthyear (must be 24 years old at most on
lifter’s birthday in the current calendar year). Minimum age is still 14 based on age on the day of
competition).
- Interschool lifters whose academic year begins in Aug must present enrolment registration material of the
previous term and proof that he/she has not yet graduated. Scans of these must be submitted together
with the nomination form, then a hard copy presented during event day registration.
- Interschool lifters whose academic year has begun in June must present enrolment registration material
for the current term. Scan of this must be submitted together with the nomination form, then a hard copy
presented during event day registration.
There are separate categories for:
a. High School
b. College
c. Developmental: Below 14 years old, even if turning 14 within the year.

For Boys developmental: 33, 38, 43, 48, 53, 59, 66, 74, 74+
For Girls Developmental: 31, 35, 39, 43, 47, 52, 57, 57+
For Men Interschool: 53, 59, 66, 74, 83, 93, 105, 120, and +120 kg

Costume Check
The PAP will be enforcing a Costume Check 30 minutes before Weigh-In as specified by the IPF Rulebook. The
one-piece singlet rule will be enforced, as well as the requirement for long socks for the deadlift event.
Developmental lifters are exempted from the one-piece suit rule but must still wear long socks for the deadlift.

2015-2018 Philippine Team members are required to use IPF-approved attire/brands only.

Team Points
The men’s team will be comprised of a maximum of only eight (8) lifters (9 lifters for Interschool & Developmental)
and the women’s team comprised of a maximum of seven (7) lifters (8 lifters for Interschool & Developmental). No
more than two (2) teammates in one weight category in one division will be allowed. Lifters in excess of these limits
must be entered as “Team-B”, “Team C”, etc for the gym/team. Best five (5) competitors’ placings will be counted
for team points.

Referees:
There is a new PAP rule that is consistent with IPF rules: Teams that do not have a referee in a competition will
only have their top 3 lifters counted in team award computations for every category.

Luzon Open: Open for all Luzon residents except Developmental P500

Anti-Doping Fee:
Php 300 per lifter (except developmental lifters), regardless of number of categories joined

Drug-Testing
Drug-testing may be conducted. By joining this event, lifters agree to drug-testing if selected. Evading or refusal to
be tested is equivalent to a positive drug-test result. Any person currently serving a drug-related suspension in ANY
sport is automatically prohibited from joining PAP events.

The test may be done out-of-competition (before or after the competition) or on competition days. All lifters MUST be
ready to stay for the test if selected on competition day otherwise he/she will be considered evading a test.

PENALTIES FOR DRUG POSITIVE RESULTS:


1st offense – Up to 4-years suspension, P50,000 fine plus return of trophies/medals
2nd offense – Lifetime suspension, P50,000 fine plus return of trophies/medals

PAP will implement an IPF rule that states that a positive test result will penalize the lifter by losing all records
since the new weight classes were implemented.

Unless the fine is paid, the nominated teammates of a lifter that fails a doping test will be prohibited from
participating in PAP events until the fine is paid.

accomplished Whereabouts forms will be rejected.
Nominations/Whereabouts information must be typed on this form and sent in the same Word Format. Do not send a

The new IPF rules institute a “no weight category change after the Final Nominations submitted 21 days before the
competition.” However, the PAP Board has decided to allow weight category change if the lifter pays a fee of
P250.00 over and above his entry/doping fees.

Walk-in entries will NOT be accepted.

The timetable may change after receiving the nominations. The PAP reserves the right to refuse late entries.

Prizes
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to Individual Lifters.
First, Second and Third Place Team Trophies shall be awarded for each of the categories above.
Best Lifter awards (1 male & 1 female) shall be awarded for each of the categories above.
