Case Study: Classroom Management

1. FACTS OF THE CASE (BEST PRACTICES)

Teachers, as executors of teaching, play a significant role in designing instructions,

teaching activities and managing classrooms. Teachers use a variety of strategies in order to
manage the classroom, enhance professional competency, understand parents’ feelings and
improve communication to diiferent people involved in learning.

In my personal experience, I realized that to have good classroom environment, we need

to be ready to face the challenging work. We have to engage our students by implementation
of every plan that we make especially in making curriculum. Students should be part of every
activity such as open discussions to make sure, students will be oriented and participate.

As teachers, we need to establish good relationship with our students by individual

interaction in the class in order to know them better and examine their learning needs. This
will ensure the participation of students and their active interaction with each other. As a
result, meaningful discussions that lead to better understanding of content can be achieved
which will help facilitate learning, gain trust and create a healthy environment.

2. REFLECTION ON THE BEST PRACTICES PRESENTED

Improving the classroom management of tough cases can be a long process. Sometimes
you'll find the key to changing behavior quickly, but most often it will take long classroom
interventions and dedicated effort. As teacher we have to be consistent, and if things seem to
be going wrong, back up and go back over the plan with the students. I realized to revised
plans and make adjustments as I teach while bearing in mind that class rules should be
maintained

3. HOW WERE YOU ABLE TO IMPLEMENT BEST PRACTICES? WHAT
INTERVENTIONS DID YOU USE AND WHY? HOW EFFECTIVE WERE YOUR
INTERVENTIONS?

The key word is actively engage the students, and establish good working relationship
with the students .Make sure that students will therefore be part of their learning through
open discussions that ensure effective participation for all students as they learn from me
and from each other. These steps will lead to equitable and democratic classroom that
will facilitate effective learning. As a teacher we have to deal them with calm, patient and
fair to all students in order to win their trust and create a favorable learning environment
for them to ask questions and get involve in their learning.
4. WERE THEY BENEFICIAL TO THE LEARNERS? LEARNING FACILITATOR?
WHY OR HOW BENEFICIAL WAS/WERE IT/THEY?

Yes. Classroom management is an important component in any educational setting.

This is because meaningful learning takes place when students are in safe environment
.Good combination of good classroom setting ,rules ,effective measures for problem
solving and how to implement interest and curriculum ,involving all the students in
learning ,ensures that the students learning are met. In my current workplace, I observed
that our main goal is to have right environment for the learners, involving emotional
environment which is creating positive learning environment.
As teacher humor is one factor that creates positive environments. The second
learning experience is, it is important to pay attention for physical environments; this
includes the physical appearance of the school or the image and presentation of the
classrooms. It should be with welcoming atmosphere where the students feel safe and
willing to share.

5. WHAT IS/ARE THE IMPLICATION/S TO EACH LEARNING EPISODE AS

CITED?

I learned and I believed that classroom management is the key to have comfortable
and safe learning environment where the students can actively involved in different
learning activities. Thus creating this will help and ensures successful implementation and
school activities and curriculum implementation where all students can participate. The
most important part is by creating this will give positive report with the students and
encouraging them to succeed by using an engaging curriculum .I believe that this method
and strategies will help to minimize problems associated with behavior within the
classroom.
