Read the passage below carefully and answer the questions that follow.

A boy, Ah Meng was killed by a large python here yesterday night. Ah Meng lived with
his mother and elder brother at the edge of a jungle. They were rubber tappers. There was no
electricity in their house because it was far away. The light in their house was supplied by a
generator which was placed at the back of their house. It was about ten metres away. Every
evening, at about 7.00 p.m. Ah Meng goes to start the generator.
One evening, Ah Meng’s mother told him, “It’s dark. Go and start the generator.” Ah Meng
obediently went alone to start the generator. Unfortunately, he did not return. His mother was
worried and suspicious. She ordered her eldest son, Ah Seng to look for him.
Ah Seng took torchlight with him. He walked to the generator with difficulty, for there was
tall grass on both sides of the path.
