 Developed logical data model based on business requirements, responsible for writing functional

and technical specifications, provided technical expertise and promoted the implementation of
new technologies into the infrastructure.
 Conceptual design of dashboards, KPIs and metrics for visibility at enterprise and shop floor level
and access through mobile devices.
 Setup and configured inbound and outbound IDocs, listener setup in SAP MII, enhancements
using user-exits, receipt and processing of IDocs from SAP MII.
 Led the machine automation and integration project team. Architectural design of the extensible
three-tier application framework based on the service oriented architecture (SOA) to enable real-
time data flow between SAP ERP and PLC enabled machines used in the shopfloor for production
and testing.

SAP MII Manufacturing Portal Jun ‘07 – Mar ‘09

The manufacturing portal is developed with a strong focus on providing a single system interface for
manufacturing employees. It consists of several composite solutions to simplify/extend SAP business
processes to the shop floor workers in the context of their role and to integrate existing plant floor apps
to the enterprise.

Real-Time Production Performance Dashboards and Metrics: Focused on integrating the shop floor
information with the rest of the enterprise and to provide actionable intelligence through role-based
manufacturing dashboards, KPIs, production performance metrics, overhead displays and scorecards.
Capacity Planning & Evaluation: These tools are designed to provide dynamic visibility into demand
changes and requirements and to help production schedulers and supervisors to make manpower
decisions.

Order Information Retrieval: A cross-platform process integration model was developed for leveraging
the data from multiple data sources (SAP, SAP archives and pre-SAP systems) and to eliminate the
brittle translation steps involved in performing the lookup of sales order, production orders, variant
config data, serial number and quality data in a variety of systems. .

Work Center Priority & Order Confirmations: Supports the manufacturing execution on the shop floor
with a set of simple and lean graphical user interfaces for perform order confirmations, manufacturing
reporting and to provide visibility to the work center priority, schedule status, part usage, assembly
material requirements, drawings, variant configuration data of production orders and it’s routing.

Nest Control: Provides a front-end mechanism and radically simplified business processes that control
the nesting process of all component products. Implemented the 'nesting on demand' solution to trigger
the nesting process automatically based on a set of rules.

Production Schedule & Nesting Status Metrics: A set of graphical charts and reports are designed to
provide simplified view of the production schedule and nesting/programming status.

Machine Automation & Integration with SAP ERP Jul ‘06 – Jun ‘07
Automated the data flow between the SAP ERP and over 40 PLC equipped machines. The objective
was to integrate SAP MII in to the existing landscape to enable real-time access of the operation and
dimensional data and to perform automatic po confirmations directly from the machine to SAP ERP
upon completion of the unit.
