National Industrial Engineer for Montgomery Ward Logistics. “Wards” was a major big box retailer with
~$8.2b at cost inventory serving ~360 stores. I was responsible for industrial engineering in 18 BTDC, 2
RDC, and 2 Import Centers and ~3,800 full time employees. My role included warehouse layout, Sorter
Conveyor Specifications and Testing (Rapist an and Alevi using Accuser Readers and Allen Bradly PLCs on
ladder logic & OS9), Office Layout and Furniture procurement and set up, Telephone System design and
Set Up (Lucent Definity G3 Switches), and warehouse move team logistics. Industrial Engineering and
managerial duties comprised time studies for warehouse tasks, on site P/C skills training and support,
office automations, weekend site manager, property inventory & management for site closures, and Site
Process Compliance auditor.
Career Highlights:
•VBasic Programing of P/C Based Dialogic cards for automated Home Delivery outbound messaging and
scheduling.
•Installation, Configuration, Training, Help Desk Support, Network Design, and Integration of Datamatics
TC1 Time and Attendance P/C based automated access and time clock system in a LAN / WAN network
nesting 18 Novell 4.11 NOS inside DECnet WAN for seamless payroll transmissions into IBM Payroll
software. This included hardware acquisition and configuration.
•Proof of Concept, Design, Deployed, Trained, and maintained second tiered standalone P/C based

Reverser; Spares program for C-141, C-5, C-130, S-3; F-16 Bracket Transfer; Patriot Launcher; Patriot
Canister; Patriot Seal; VLS Launcher; VLS Canister; and Bell Eagle Eye hull fabrication. Technologies
supported were: Machine Shop, Sheet Metal Shop; Plating & Painting Shop; White Room Layup for Pre-
preg Carbon Fiber Assembly; Gerber Fabric Cutter; and Assembly Shops. Highlights for the period
M.O.S.T. deployment for MilSpec-1567A; authored the Shop Audit Program for Data Compliance; and
weight reduction by minimizing hull internal paint. Martin Marietta merged with Lockheed Corporation
during this period.
Generated Time Studies, Labor Standards, Standard Data, Manufacturing Process Plans (MPP), and
routing sequences for a MRP Start Up. This was a contract position. I was brought on board to help the
local team recover schedule for the MRP start up project.
