3.2 The equipment shall be coated in accordance with the painting specfication.
In case of conflict between the SHI Shop painting Procedure and the coating specification, the
coating specification shall prevail. Any deviation from the coating specification must be approved
by CLIENT.

(5) Steel and fabrication defects such as weld spatters, lamination scabs,
sharp edges of welds, and slivers visible before or after blast cleaning
shall be repaired prior to coating.

(6) Abrasive shall be dry and oil-free. Oil and water separators shall be used in compressed
air lines to remove oil and moisture from the air before using.

(8) Painting shall be carefully performed at all edges, corners, crevices, rivets, bolts and nuts, welds
