 A correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their writing
achievement at the Eight year of SMPN 2 Babakan, Kab.Cirebon.

2. What is the research questions?

 Is there any correlation between the students vocabulary mastery and their writing
achievement at the Eight grade of SMPN 2 Babakan, Kab.Cirebon?

3. What is the technique of data collection for each research question?

 Test : Objective test & Written test.
 Objective test is used to test vocabulary to check the students mastery
vocabulary. Objective test consist of twenty questions.
 Written test is used to test writing to check the students’ writing
achievement. The written test ask the students’ to write the steps to make
the procedure text likes the writer show the sample.

4. What is the technique of data analysis for the data in each question?
 The technique of data analysis used Pearson’s product moment coefficient of
correlation.

achievement at the X Grade of SMAN 7 Cirebon

A. Justify the technique of data collection
 Test : Objective test & Written test.
 Objective test is used to test vocabulary to check the students mastery
vocabulary. Objective test consist of twenty questions.
 Listening test is used to test listening to check the students’ listening
achievement. The listening test ask the students’ to write the missing
words of English songs.

B. Justify the technique of data analysis

 The technique of data analysis used Pearson’s product moment coefficient of
correlation.
