Founded on 16th May, 2005, Bawngkawn AG church currently has a membership of 25 adults

and children. The church has witnessed the water baptism of 23 of her members. In brief,
Bawngkawn AG church comprises of 7 families/households. However, young people from
the villages studying or working in the city attend the church regularly, thus, in spite of the
limited membership list, the church has a regular attendance of 40-50 people on any given
Sunday service. This tiny church is blessed to have church services that attract young people.

Currently, the church designs an outreach program (an evangelical cell) through which the
church members visited their fellow members residing in distant places every week. Also,
with the end goal of enhancing the worship services, the church also provides for the
expenses of 3 members from the youth department currently enrolled in a music institute.
Moreover, perturbed by the rising rate of young people battling with alcohol and substance
abuse, depression, and mental problems, the church decides to open a helpline/hotline to
provide an online counseling and help desk for the distressed youth in the city. The actual
implementation of the program is still in progress.

On the other hand, the church’s monthly expenses amount to total of 7500 rupees (6000
rupees for the rent and 1500 rupees for the water and electricity bills). Besides, the church
also dispenses a monthly contribution of 2000 rupees towards the missionary fund.
This church also makes a regular contribution required by the section as well.

Given the current membership of the church and the different projects and missions, apart
from the continual prayer for a church building, she is no financial position to construct a
church building on her own. Hence, any possible financial assistance rendered towards the
construction of a church building will be highly appreciated. I am quite confident that
Bawngkawn AG church will flourish even better if she has a church building on her own.
