1. Activating AMR
Procedure

1 Check that the licences covering AMR FR and/or AMR HR have been installed (W7I).
ZW7I:LIC,FULL:LIC=<licence code>;

2 Check the value of the feature state (W7I).

AMR FR:
ZW7I:FEA,FULL:FEA=72;
AMR HR:
ZW7I:FEA,FULL:FEA=1;

3 Turn the feature state 'ON' if needed (W7M).

AMR FR:
ZW7M:FEA=72:ON;
AMR HR:
ZW7M:FEA=1:ON;

4 Check that the feature state change succeeded (W7I).

AMR FR:
ZW7I:FEA,FULL:FEA=72;
AMR HR:
ZW7I:FEA,FULL:FEA=1;

5 Modify the codec mode set if needed (EQY).

If you do not modify the codec mode set, the default set is used. The default set for AMR FR is 12.2,
7.40, 5.90, 4.75 kbit/s and for AMR HR 7.40, 5.90, 4.75 kbit/s.
Note that the default sets must be in use if Tandem Free Operation for AMR is enabled.
AMR FR:
ZEQY:BTS=<BTS identification>:FRC=<AMR FR codec mode set>;
AMR HR:
ZEQY:BTS=<BTS identification>:HRC=<AMR HR codec mode set>;
The value 0 means that the whole codec mode set is disabled.
 Note: BSC which has AoIP enabled will support only AMR codec mode sets S1 and S14,
irrespective of the codec mode configured at BSC using the EQY command.

ZEQY:BTS=<BTS identification>:HRC=<AMR HR codec mode set>;
The value 0 means that the whole codec mode set is disabled.

Define the AMR FR and AMR HR codec mode sets (EQY).

For AMR FR, codec modes 4.75, 5.9, 7.4, and 12.2 kbit/s must be set:
ZEQY:BTS=<BTS identification>:FRC=1&4&16&128;
For AMR HR, codec modes 4.75, 5.9, and 7.4 kbit/s must be set:
ZEQY:BTS=<BTS identification>:HRC=1&4&16;
These are the default codec mode sets; other sets cannot be used with TFO for AMR.
