6.0.0 CHECKING OF STEADY STATE VOLTAGE DROP AT SWITCHGEAR TERMINAL


UNDER FULL LOAD CONDITION

6.1.0 Voltage drop from 11kV Termination end to 11kV Switchgear terminal

Voltage drop (Vd) = FLC x ((Rc.CosQr)+(Xc.SinQr)) / N

= 1448.6 x ((0.001194*0.8) + (0.00282*0.6)) / 2

= 1.92 volts

= 0.010 %

Transformer to 11kV Switchgear as per good engineering practice.

From the above, it is seen that, the steady state voltage drop is within the limit.
Hence the proposed cable of 2runs of 1C x 630 Sq.mm XLPE Ar. Cu, is safe.
