Introduction Result & Outcome

Remote sensing plays a key role is in the study of
land cover change. Specially, the conversion of
natural land cover into human-dominated cover
types continues to be a change of global proportions
with many unknown environmental consequences.
Result in visual form is used to remotely manage the
desired area. Finally we discuss possible direction
for the systematic arrangement of different
classified elements such as vegetation, settlement
area & mainly future planning for the urban areas.

Objective
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
• To plan Pokhara Municipality with long term
strategy
Secondary Objective:
• To identify the declining rate of snow level
• To identify the rate of deforestation per decade
• To properly utilize lands as per its feature
Methodology

By comparing all three images obtained from change
detection process, we can easily distinguish the area
where there is rapid change of population, land used for
cultivation & variation of snow in the mountainous areas.
Green color represents increment/positive growth of
classified elements, whereas Red color represents
decrement/negative of classified elements.
