The students will have an ample amount of time to complete the assignment, and the students will
present their videos to the class. The students will be graded on completion of the assignment, and I will
consider how well the students worked with their peers in a group format. While a group is presenting
their video, the rest of the class will watch the video and then fill out a short reflection about what they

learned from the presenters’ video. The students will be encouraged to include facts and drawings on
their reflection sheet to act as a reference and review of each part of the water cycle.
Importance of technology:
The use of the iMovie in this lesson allows the students to learn in a visual and auditory fashion. By
providing an example video to the class, the students are able to view what a created video might look
like, and this preview will be helpful for the students to use and reflect on while they are creating their
own videos. Without the example being shown and provided to the students, the learning activity would
possibly not turn out to be effective for all students to learn from. Students can add music, recorded
voice, and a small video to help them cover their topic for the project.
Reflective Practice:
This lesson is designed to help students learn in an interactive way that allows them to be creative and
design original products to enhance their learning. My iMovie will be used to introduce the lesson activity,
and the lesson is extended by having the students complete research and designing their own informative
videos to share with the class. This lesson can be further advanced or extended by posting the videos to a
locked page on the classroom blog. Students and parents can then view the students’ creations by using a
password to view the videos online.
