It is with great pleasure and high esteem I write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Yolyn Gonzalez. I have had the
pleasure of knowing Ms. Gonzalez as both a substitute teacher and as a counselor at Lynwood Unified School District for
the past seven years.

Ms. Gonzalez maybe employed as a substitute for LUSD, but she goes above and beyond the call of a substitute teacher.
Yolyn brings a caring, cheery and patient disposition to our students and staff, providing support, guidance and attention
to detail whenever it is necessary.

Ms. Gonzalez comes prepared to tackle daily crisis in and out of the classroom. I have witnessed firsthand Yolyn's
enthusiasm for the responsibilities she takes on at each school site. When there is no lesson plan, she creates a lesson
plan or acquires one. Ms. Gonzalez is very resourceful, I have seen Yolyn take on long term assignments where nothing
was in place for her instruction, she immediately sought out assistance from Admin., department chairs and fellow
teacher's to facilitate learning and instruction by making copies and creating assignments to facilitate collaboration and
understanding by her students. Most recently, Ms. Gonzalez took on a senior English class which needed a substitute to
fill a position most subs would not accept, a substitute to take on the responsibility of completing final assignments and
final grades in the last week and a half of the semester, a task she gladly accepted and completed.

Ms. Gonzalez proves to adapt quickly to the work environment and stands out among other substitute teachers. She has
the integrity, experience, ability and dedication required to help guide students toward academic success.
When I met Ms. Gonzalez, she had already been working as a substitute teacher for four years; she likes the flexibility
that the job offered because it gave her the opportunity to care for her young family. She has enjoyed various teaching
environments and worked with different aged children (kinder through 21 years) and has worked with all subjects from
physical education to juvenile centers, making her ideal for adjusting to new classroom atmospheres on any given day. I
have seen her interact with the toughest and most challenging of students and was amazed by her relentless desire in
helping and guiding them in their learning.

For as long as I have known her, Ms. Gonzalez has proven herself to be adaptable, patient and willing to devote herself to
completing tasks and always ready with new emergency lesson plans.

Ms. Gonzalez understands the importance of a high quality public education and does everything in her grasp to facilitate
this with the students she is entrusted with daily in Lynwood Unified School District. Yolyn will make an excellent teacher.

I highly recommend Yolyn for a teaching position. She is an excellent employee; anyone would enjoy and benefit
working with her.
