I- General Program Information

Program Title:
HOLY SPIRIT MASS

Program Description: The Grade 6 Recollection is a program of the


school that aims to strengthen the spiritual and
moral aspect of the pupils. The implementation of
this program is anchored on one of the Filipino
values--- “Maka-Diyos” espoused by the
Department of Education.

Prerequisite Programs: Go to church and ask for schedule , meeting with


the Faculty, parents and church leader

Duration: 1 day

Management Level of Program School and Church Led

Delivery Mode: Formal face-to-face lecture

Rationale:

The holding of Holy Spirit Mass is a longstanding tradition of New Boholano Elementary
School to allow the whole community to come together and celebrate its identity as a
Roman Catholic faith.

The Mass of the Holy Spirit is celebrated in conjunction with the Department of
Education’s core values of being a “maka-Diyos” as the official start to the academic
calendar. The Mass serves as a means of invoking the Holy Spirit for guidance and
wisdom throughout the school year.

OBJECTIVES : By holding the activity, it aims to:


a. Strengthen the Roman Catholic identity of the school;
b. Promote a culture of respect to other religions;
c. Instill a God-fearing value to each pupil and other members of the school
community as well;
Methodology:

There will be a registration upon arrival of the participants including their


parents. Plenary session will begin at exactly 8 am.

The participants will bring candle for their finale activity in the afternoon.

End of Program Outputs:

At the end of the recollection, it is expected that

 All pupils will join in the activities, read and reflect on spiritual readings and engage with
other participants to actively participate towards the completion of the recollection
experience.
 Participants have received the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation.

Expected Final Outcomes/Success Indicators:

 Pupils’ reconciliation with their parents , teachers and most of all to God.
