Dear Sir/ Madame

I am writing to apply for a position as process engineer. Currently, I am student at

Polytechnic University of Bucharest, at the study programme of Chemical Processes
Engineering. Chemical Engineering is a most fascinating field of all the branches of science and
engineering. To me it truly reflects human endeavor and spirit through means such as the
exploration of unknown substances, and making something of worth and value out of mere raw
materials. Chemistry is a fundamental of life, without it the world around us would cease to
function. For this reason I want to study Chemical Engineering, I find the field exciting and full
of wonders, be it already found and yet to come.

I believe that this experience would be a efficient and successfully method to improve my
Engineering skills. Moreover, I will cherish the opportunity to enhance my laboratory
experience.

I made part of other internship programmes of Tenaris SILCOTUB Romania, Process

Control Area where I started to develop my skills. I learned how to analyse the composition of
the steel, to interpret data and find solutions based on it. As an employee at Siemens Romania,
Oil and Gas Department, I learned how to read Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID),
Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), training on Siemens proprietary tools and work processes, I
learned how to read and understand datasheets and also to do pressure relief analysis on any
refinery equipment.

Why I want to take Engineering is because I am keen to further my knowledge and

understanding of the chemical processes. The work as an engineer provides with an excellent
opportunity to pursue career in different areas. The areas of work apart from field engineering
include project management, business, supply chain, research and development.

I would like to emphasize that I am eager to benefit from this opportunity, as I will get a
truly multicultural experience, highly efficient for a growing engineer. I am friendly, organised,
patient and responsible, and this experience will enhance my chances to find a better
employment.
I hope that during the course of this brief statement, I have convinced you of my interest
and dedication to a further discussion. I believe that I will make a valuable contribution to your
company and hope that I may have an opportunity to prove this to you.

I appreciate the time and efforts you invested in assessing my application. I look forward
to receiving your response.
