PROJECT TITLE : DESIGN, SUPPLY, AND INSTALL OF STAND-UP 603x408 CAN WASHER
LOCATION : PACKING EXPORT (LINE W) - MAIN PLANT

SCOPE OF WORKS:

The contractor shall supply labor, materials, consumables, tools, equipment, technical supervision and other
related forms/activities necessary in the completion of the following:

1. Design, supply, and install of stand-up 603x408 can washer:


a. The main purpose of the project was to eliminate the problem of the damage tuna chunks
inside the 603 cans. Thus, any event that may cause damage of the product like rolling cans,
vibration, etc. should be eliminated.
b. Design, supply, and install a conveying system after the can washing process which is flexible
for the ink jet printing. Use LINE K as a reference of the design. Note that the INK JET
SYSTEM AND THE INVERTER OF THE CONVEYOR WILL BE SUPPLIED by GTC, the rest (motor,
conveyor, etc.) will be supplied by the contractor.
c. There should be no any damage or scratches of the 603x408 cans during the entire process.
d. All portions of the 603x408 cans must be washed well (top, bottom, and all sides) so that
the oil sticking the cans will be removed.

2. Other data:
a. Seamer speed (maximum) – 35 cans per minute.
b. Elevation of seamer from ground – 0.85 meter.
c. Elevation of feeding window from ground – 0.92 meter.
d. Distance of seamer to feeding window – approximately 6.35 meter.
e. Distance of feeding window to accumulation table – 0.40 meter.
f. Weight of the 603x408 cans – 1.5 kg per can.
g. For the can washer, the MOTOR (1HP) will be supplied by GTC; the rest (chain, sprocket,
supports, pillow blocks, etc.) will be supplied by the contractor.
h. For the water spray system, the PUMP (5 HP) will be supplied by GTC; the rest (pipes, spray
nozzles, brackets and supports, etc.) will be supplied by the contractor.
i. For the steam supply, connect to the existing 1ӯ SS steam line.

3. Requirements:
a. The contractor must submit a detailed drawing of the project.
b. All materials that will be used must be stainless steel.
c. Install a maintenance cover/housing for the motor and pump.
d. Install a threaded cap on both ends of the water spreader header. Make sure that no leaking
would occur during the can washing process.

4. Housekeeping, disposal of unused items, and general cleaning.


SPECIFICATIONS AND PROVISIONS:

1. The contractor should specify the number of days to complete the project after the received of P.O.
2. There will be a one month commissioning after the completion of the installation and if there is no
problem encountered the warranty period of the project will start.
3. The contractor should specify the number of months as the warranty period of the project.
4. Fabrication and assembly works shall be done in the contractor’s shop. Welding and joinery works
shall be of standard quality and shall be performed by TESDA-certified welders.
5. All welds must be TIG WELD. Apply tigklen to clean the welded areas.
6. The contractor shall observe proper safety practices at all times during the entire
construction/installation period. ALL WORKERS SHOULD WEAR PROPER PPE.
7. The contractor shall ensure the safety of company’s equipment during the duration of the project.
8. The contractor shall be responsible for the safety of its employees, tools and equipment during the
duration of the project.
9. The contractor shall be responsible for all wastes and garbage disposals in accordance to the plant’s
GMP rules and regulations. The area shall be left cleared and clean after the completion of the
project.
10. The contractor shall be required to field out one project engineer/coordinator and one safety officer
to supervise the project at all times.
11. Deadline of submission of quotations shall be on MONDAY, APRIL 29, 2017 at 5:00pm. Late
submission shall be considered disqualified.
