THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF NURSING

Course Description: The Course is designed to orient and familiarize the student with the
leading theorists in the history, development and growth of the nursing profession with the end in
view of "continuously improving practice with the guidance and collective wisdom in the science
and art of nursing" (Nathanielsz, Remegia. Preface on the book Theoretical Foundations of
Nursing by Octaviano and Balita).

Course Credit: Three (3) Units
