You can watch the camera image and capture single frames or clips using ‘still image’ / ’AVI’.
Additionally, you can control the camera by using the virtual remote controller.
The capture list is displayed when a file has been recorded and allows you to review captured
clips. As additional clips are recorded, they are held in the capture list bin until renamed and
saved to a permanent location with the ‘Save As’ command or deleted. Captured files are
overlapped from the end of one file to the beginning of the next.
The ‘Delete unsaved capture files when exit’, deletes all temporary files when the viewer is
closed.
The ‘Image viewer’ and ‘AVI player’ are used to determine what viewing program will be used
to open temporary files. To appoint a program other than the default, select the ‘Other’ and
click the ‘(...)’.
‘Still capture format’ appoints the image file type ( Bitmap or JPEG ) for captured still images
to be stored in.
If you click on the ‘Still image capture’ button in the live video window, the image shown on
the screen is captured as a single frame. The captured file will overlap the next captured
image. If you want to save the captured file, click on the ‘Save As’ button and save the file to
the desired location.

Click on the ‘Start’ to start to begin the video capture.
To limit the recording time use the ‘Enable Time Limit’ option.
The 21/21Z704USB camera does not have audio capture capabilities and the ‘Capture
Audio’ option is disabled.
If you click on the ‘AVI Options’, the following window appears. You can change the ‘video
compression codec’.
The TWAIN Driver allows you to capture a TWAIN recognized still image file that can be used
in secondary software. The TWAIN driver supports a variety of image editing software
including Adobe’s ‘Photoshop’.

TWAIN, you can select the device through ‘File --> Select Source…’. The following window

appears. Adjust the Video Control levels as desired and click the ‘Capture Still Image’ button
The captured image is automatically transferred into the image editing program.
