Q: If I have scripts for XD01, XK01 built to run in ECC, are they clear candidates for new scripts to be built for transaction BP in S/4
HANA?
A: Yes. Definitely.

Q: I have a Winshuttle query built to run in ECC that retrieves material document data. In S/4 HANA, the tables exist however a
new MATDOC table has been brought in. Will the Winshuttle Query continue to work fine in S/4 HANA or do I need to rebuild with
MATDOC table?
A: The existing material tables will still exist in the new S/4HANA system. However, we would really recommend that you create a
Query with the new MATDOC tables.

Q: Is the demo showing SAP ECC to S/4 HANA cloud version?

A: The demo was showing SAP ECC to S4HANA (On-Premise) system.

Q: Are there some limits on the SAP source versions? What about the backward compatibility with older versions of Winshuttle
and S/4?
A: Winshuttle works with all the SAP versions from 4.7 to S4HANA 1610. You can find info on systems requirements and backward
compatibility here.

Q: Where are the scripts created?

A: Scripts are created using Winshuttle Studio, which is the tool to create both a script to load data, as well as a script to extract data.

2
Q: If currently scripts for creating master data ECC6 are used - Do they have to be re-recorded to use them in S/4 HANA?
A: Most of the scripts will have to be re-recorded. The extraction scripts might still work because SAP still delivers the old tables in the S/4 HANA
system, but we recommend you test all the scripts when you move to S/4 HANA system as this is one of the major SAP release.

Q: If all BP are populated on the sheet, but for some reason I must load only a certain type, is there any way to filter the run
records apart from creating a new query?
A: Yes, you can have the BP Role within the spreadsheet and you can use the Excel-Filter function to filter the records. Winshuttle has the
capabilities to load only filtered data or also run on certain conditions maintained within the script.

Q: Is it necessary to capture all the fields in the first record?

A: It will be necessary to capture all the mandatory fields to complete the record creation. But it is not necessary to capture all the fields. In-fact
Winshuttle also provides workflow capabilities to route the Excel within the organisation to capture data from different departments and loading
the data in SAP in a stage-gate model.

Q: Will it also work in background mode?

A: Yes. We support both desktop scheduling and server scheduling modes.

Q: How does Excel get connected with SAP? Is there any connector?
A: Winshuttle uses the RFC-layer to connect to the SAP system thereby respecting all the checks and balances offered by SAP.

Q: We were using Winshuttle earlier in cut over data in ECC. Is it the same?
A: Yes. It can be used for cut-over activities but also as a business as usual tool for data management.

Q: Does the ECC system need to be at a certain EHP level to support the migration to S/4 HANA or does it not matter?
A: Yes. You can find info on systems requirements and backward compatibility here.

Q: Is it possible to load other attributes like customer block against specific company codes, etc?
A: Yes. It is possible to load all attributes of customer master data as well as other data objects (transactional and master data) within SAP.

Q: How are SAP Roles handled?

A: Winshuttle respects the authorisation framework delivered by SAP.

Q: What is the advantage of using Winshuttle over the SAP cockpit and CVI Tool?
A: Winshuttle can be used for bi-directional data exchange, either from ECC to S4HANA or even a roundtrip within S4HANA system,
whereas the SAP Data Migration Cockpit is only available in S/4HANA 1610 and later versions, and is specifically used for data upload
in a new implementation scenario migrating from legacy systems.
Winshuttle is also a tool that can be used and managed by business users whereas the SAP Cockpit will have to follow a traditional IT
project route. Winshuttle allows business uses to work directly from Excel and returns SAP messages in-line on the same
spreadsheet, facilitating the error-handling and accelerating the data validation and correction.

CVI tool just helps you to display and check if your customizing is properly set when you use the new Customer Vendor Integration
(CVI). To adapt to the BP approach before moving into S/4HANA. It doesn’t really help with any of the data movement and data
validation/conversion associated with this change.
