Responsible for designing a lower elementary program for children kindergarten through third
grade. Created a curriculum for the school based on the Montessori method and making CORE
standardized leaning materials. Lesson plans consisted of individualized work plans for each
child which they received every week. Implemented a daily schedule that involved math, lan-
guage, history, science and specials.

- Student Teaching in a first-grade classroom.
- Progressively assumed full time teaching responsibilities.
- Implemented lesson plans on a daily basis. Used the Everyday Math to teach math
and used explorations to help guide the students. During guided reading I worked
with small groups and worked on comprehension and phonics while monitoring
the literacy centers. In science, the students learned the different species of animals
and used pictures of the animals to make posters.

- Practicum in second grade: Two days per week culminating in two full weeks.
- I prepared Everyday Math lessons on addition and multiplication. I created a book
museum in the classroom that the students placed their favorite books in different
categories. For example, fiction, non-fiction and biographies. I created a unit plan
based on dinosaurs that I used in every subject. We used dinosaur poems in literacy
centers along with building fossils out of papier-mâché.

El Nino Del Mundo

-Field Experience 1 in preschool.
-One day per week.
-Worked with Creative Curriculum to design lesson plans. In science, the students
opened up a pumpkin and looked inside. They observed what was inside and
took out the pumpkin seeds and felt them. They counted them and separated
them by size.
