University timetabling using LP Model.
GENERIC ABSTRACT

This work presents a University timetabling management model that solves timetabling problems
for the faculty staff and the students in the institute. This model was designed to produce solutions
that is meeting the requirements of faculty teachers, allocating the maximum number of lecturers
with the highest academic title and minimizing costs by merging courses with equivalent
syllabuses. It ensures that no teacher is scheduled for too many back-to-back classes or for two
classes at the same time. The timetable
model also allows the students the exact time and duration of each class period. In the absence of a
timetable students would have any idea how to brace up for the day, A short span of time they have
before they are late for class, and who would their teachers be, Assembly of a timetable creates a
natural work space or study comfort of the routine for both faculty and students.

The most important reason for creating a timetable model is generating a routine for all students
and staff. Administration must generate specific routines for their students and teacher to build a
class structure, They use the timetable to portray exactly when and where students go to class and
when teachers are scheduled to teach. If an administrator generates an indigent or a weak
timetable, which maybe either requires teachers to work continuously consecutive classes or
students to go
without an specific subject or elective course, such as programming, management or any other
education for two or three consecutive days, the management effects seep or flow down to the
teachers, and an unsustainable student behavior situation results.
In a recent study of 3 main challenges a teacher faces one of them is balancing and adjusting to
ongoing change in timetables.
The problem is given an integer linear programming formulation, and computational methods used
in obtaining solutions are discussed. The objective function of these usually consists of minimizing
costs or maximizing preferences; It measures both the distinctive attribute of solutions, and the
authenticity of the generated timetables.
