Class Policy
 Students who are caught or proven to be cheating will
automatically be penalized with a grade of 5.0 in the
course. Cheating is defined as:
 Copying or providing the means to copy a classmate’s exam
answers, computational exercise, etc;
 Allowing classmate to copy from one’s own exam answer,
computational exercise, etc;
 Possession and/or use of cheat devises during an
examination;
 Allowing another person to take an examination in one’s
name, and/or impersonating another student or allowing
someone to impersonate oneself in an academic activity
4

 Use A4 size papers
 For missed exercise due to unexcused absence,
score = 0
 For missed exercise due to excused absence,
missed exercise will be removed from
computation of pre-final grade

6
Class Policy

Project 10%
Exercises 20%

TOTAL 100%

 Final Grade = 0.7Pre-final grade + 0.3Final exam

9
Grading System
 Final Grade Concordance Table

10
Class Policy
 A student with a prefinal standing of at least 68%
and with no long exam below 50% shall be
exempted from taking the final exam
 The score that will be considered for exemption
is the raw score, not the score including bonuses
