SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES

4.1 Description of the first aid measures:

The symptoms resulting from an intoxication can appear after the exposure, which is why, in case of doubt, direct
exposure to the chemical product or persistence of the symptom, seek medical aid, showing the SDS of this product.
For inhalation:
Remove the person affected from the place of exposure, giving him/her clean air and keeping him/her at rest. In serious
cases such as cardiorespiratory stoppage, apply artificial respiration techniques (mouth-to-mouth respiration, cardiac
massage, administration of oxygen, etc.), requesting immediate medical assistance.
For contact with the skin:
Remove the contaminated shoes and clothes, clean the skin or wash the area affected with abundant neutral soap and
cold water. In seriously affected, see a doctor. If the product causes burns or freezing, do not remove the clothes as it
may worsen the injury if it is stuck to the skin. If blisters are formed on the skin, they must not be burst, as it would
increase the risk of infection.
For contact with the eyes:
Rinse the eyes with water in abundance at ambient temperature during at least 15 minutes. A void the person affected
rubbing or closing the eyes. If the affected person wears contact lenses, they must be removed whenever they are stuck
to the eyes, as, otherwise, it could produce additional damage. In every case, after the washing, a doctor must be seen
as quickly as possible with the SDS of the product.
For swallowing/aspiration:
Request immediate medical assistance, showing the SDS of this product. Do not induce vomiting, and if this occurs, maintain
the head inclined forwards to avoid aspiration. If the person loses consciousness, do not administer anything by orally until
supervision of a doctor. Rinse the mouth and the throat, as they may have been affected in the ingestion. Maintain the person
affected at rest.
4.2 More important acute or retarded symptoms and effects:
The acute and retarded effects are indicated in points 2 and 11.
4.3 Notes for the doctor:
Not applicable

SECTION 5: FIREFIGHTING MEASURES

5.1 Means of extinguishing:

Preferably use dry powder extinguishers (ABC-class), or alternatively use physical foam or carbon dioxide extinguishers (CO2).
IT I SNOT ADVISABLE to use water jets as an extinguishing agent.
5.2 Specific hazards of the substance of mixture:
As a result of the combustion or thermal decomposition reaction subproducts are generated which can be highly toxic and,
consequently, can present a high risk for health.
5.3 Protection measures of the firefighting team:
Due to the size of the fire, it may be necessary to wear complete protective clothes and autonomous breathing equipment.
Have a minimum of emergency installations or performance elements (fire blankets, portable pharmacy, etc.)

SECTION 5: FIREFIGHTING MEASURES (continuation)

Additional arrangements:
Perform as per the Internal Emergency Plan and the Informative Sheets concerning the action to be taken when there are
accidents and other emergencies. Suppress all source of ignition. If there is a fire, cool the storage tanks and containers of
products liable to flammation, explosion or "BLEVE" as a result of high temperatures. Avoid the spillage of the products used in
extinguishing fire in the aquatic environment.

SECTION 6: CONTROL MEASURES FOR SPLILLAGE OR LEAKAGE

6.1 Personal precautions, protection equipment and emergency procedures:
Isolate the leaks whenever it does not represent an additional risk for the people who perform this function. Evacuate the area
and keep the people without protection away. Regarding the potential contact with the spilt product it is mandatory to use
personal protection elements (see heading 8). Avoid as a priority the forming of flammable vapor-air mixtures, whether
through ventilation or by using a stabilizing agent (inert carrier). Suppress any source of ignition. Eliminate electrostatic
charges through interlinking of all the conducting surfaces on which static electricity may be formed and in turn the unit being
linked to the ground.
6.2 Precautions with the environment:
At all costs avoid any type of spillage in the aquatic environment. Contain appropriately the product absorbed in hermetically
sealed containers. Notify the qualified authority in the case of exposure to the public in general or to the environment.
6.3 Methods and materials for retention and cleaning:
It is advisable to:
Absorb the spillage through inert absorbent or sand and transport it to a safe place. Do not absorb with sawdust or other
combustible absorbents. For any consideration related to elimination, see heading 13.
6.4 Reference to other sections:
See sections 8 and 13.

SECTION 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE

7.1 Precautions for safe handling:

A.- Precautions for safe handling
Comply with the legislation in force regarding preventing labor risks. Maintain the containers hermetically closed.
Control the spillages and residue, eliminating them with safe methods (heading 6). Avoid free spillage from the container.
Maintain order and cleanness where hazardous products are handled.
B.- Technical recommendations for preventing fires and explosions.
Transfer it in well-ventilated places, preferably through localized extraction. Control totally the focuses of ignition (mobile
phones, sparks, etc.) and ventilate in cleaning operations. Avoid the existence of hazardous atmospheres inside containers,
applying, if possible, blanketing systems. Transfer it at slow speeds to avoid creating electrostatic charges. Regarding the
possibility of the existence of electrostatic charges: ensure a perfect equipotential connection, always use ground sockets,
do not wear acrylic fiber work clothes, preferably wearing conducting shoes and cotton. Fulfill the essential safety
requirements for equipment and the minimum arrangements for the safety and health of the workers under the choice
criteria. Seed heading 10 about conditions and materials which must be avoided.
C.- Technical recommendations to prevent ergonomic and toxicological risks.
Do not eat or drink during handling, washing your hands afterwards with appropriate cleaning products.
D.- Technical recommendations to prevent environmental risks.
Due to the hazard which this product represents for the environment, it is advisable that it is handled in an
area which has contamination control barriers in case of spillage, as well as having absorbent material nearby
7.2 Safe storage conditions, including any incompatibility:
A.- Technical storage measures
Minimum temperature: 5 ºC
Maximum temperature: 30 ºC
Maximum time: 6 months
B.- General storage conditions.
Avoid sources of heat, radiation, static electricity and contact with food. For additional information, see heading 10.5

agents with unhealthiness characterized by limit of tolerance and inspection in the work place):
There are no environmental limit values for the substances which constitute the product.
8.2 Engineering control measures:
A.- Personal protection measures
As a prevention measure it is advisable to wear basic personal protection equipment. For further information about the
personal protection equipment (storage, use, cleaning, maintenance, protection class,…) see the informative leaflet
provided by the PPE manufacturer. The indications contained in this point refer to the pure product. The protection
measures for the diluted product can vary due to its degree of dilution, use, method of application, etc. To determine the
fulfillment of installation of emergency showers and/or eyewash in the warehouses, the regulations referring to the storage
of chemical products applicable ion each case must be taken into account.
For further information see heading 7.1 and 7.2.
All the information presented here is a recommendation, its implementation being required by the labor risk prevention
