Dear Winson,

My family went to Port Dickson during the last school holidays. We

trekked through the forest reserve to visit the historic lighthouse in Cape

Rachado. The lighthouse was built by the Portuguese to guide their ships when

they conquered Malacca in 1511.

We also visited the ostrich farm. At the farm, we learnt how to handle

big ostrich eggs. I even took a ride on the big bird. Later we had ostrich burger

and satay too. It was quite an experience to taste ostrich meat.

Hope to hear from you soon. Take care.

Subject : The Mouse, The Frog and The Hawk
Dear Danny,
How do you do? I am fine here.
Yesterday, I borrowed a story book from the library. It is about The
Mouse, The Frog and The Hawk.
Once upon a time, the Mouse and the Frog were good friends. There would
not be a problem while they were on the land but they would when they were
in the water. The Frog thought a way to play together. He tied a string on
their legs.
One fine afternoon, the Frog brought the Mouse to a river. He swam happily
in the river, but the Mouse could not swim. After a while, the Mouse was
drowned and floated on the water. A Hawk saw the Mouse. He caught the
Mouse and the Frog. Unfortunately, the Frog was eaten by the Hawk.

My family plans to attend a durian feast next weekend since all of us love

durians. We can eat as much as we want for only twenty ringgit per person. We

will get to taste two popular varieties of durian at the feast. There will be the
‘Sultan’ D24 which is very creamy with bitter taste and the sweet ‘Gob Kecil’ or

D99 with its thick creamy texture and pleasant aroma.

Would you like to join us for the feast? O let me know and I will be glad

to have you coming along with us. Take care there.

Dear Joe,
I am writing this email to tell you five ways on how can you take care of your
money wisely. Now I use my money wisely. I buy only what I need, not what I
want. I buy only what I can afford. I do not borrow money to buy things.
I realise it is important to plan my budget. So, when I get my allowance, I
put aside money to spend on what I need every day. I do not use up all my
money. I save some of them for my future.
I also use my money to make money. I make kites and sell them for a profit.
I also put my money in the bank and let it earn interest.
I will write again to you soon.

Sincerely,
Dinesh

Dear Uncle Stuart,

For your information, I would choose the black pearl tea with jelly

because it costs RM 9.90 which I can redeem with the voucher. I love the seet

taste of the drink. It can quench my thirst.

I would not buy the strawberry yoghurt because I have to pay for

another RM 2.90 on my own as the voucher value is not enough to cover the

price. Furthermore, I do not like yoghurt beause it’s thick and frothy. It cannot

quench my thirst.

I hope that you will agree to y decision.and thank you for drink voucher.

Dear Beng Seong,
How are you? I hope you are well. I have read an interesting storybook in my

The title of the story is The Clever Hawk. It is written by James Walter.
The characters in the story include a hawk and a nightingale. The story is
about how once, a hawk caught a nightingale. The nightingale asked the hawk
to let her go. She told the hawk to look for a bigger bird. The hawk refused
to release the nightingale. The hawk said, ‘It is better to keep what I have
now than to wait for something I may not get.’
What do you think about this story? Do you like it? Have you read any

Dear Uncle Kenny,

We are happy that you are visiting us next month. We plan to have a

picnic with you in the KLCC Park. Although the park is in the city, you can

experience the natural greenery of Malaysia. You can find varieties of trees and

plants there.

The park can be crowded during the holidays, so we will start off early to

find the best spot for the picnic. The park is a good place for our families to

get together and have a time of bonding. My mother will prepare some local

dishes for our families to bring along.

You can relax and forget the stress of your busy life. You will feel

relaxed breathing the cool and fresh air in the park.

Your best friend has decided to go jogging in order to stay fit

and healthy. However, you are worried about him. Write a letter

to your friend telling him about at least three important things

he should take note of when he goes jogging.

No. 1, Jalan Tasek 16,

14th May 2018

Dear Wee Siong,

How are you? I’m so happy to know that you have started to go jogging

every day. It’s a good form of exercise.

There are things to remember when you go jogging. First, always warm up

with stretching exercise to prevent injuries. Next, make sure that you drink

sufficient water before, during and after jogging. Wear proper, well- cushioned

sports shoes to prevent injury to your ankles and feet. Wear clothes made of

materials that allow your body heat to lose easily, for example cotton.

Tale note of these small particulars and you will be able to keep fit well.

Good luck!

Your friend,

George

18. HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Every weekend, I like to go to the park with my friends. We go there early in the
morning because the air is cool and fresh during that time. We got to the park because we
want to exercise.

Exercise will make us fit and healthy. Some of my friends like to jog and run. My
brother and I prefer to ride our bicycles around the park.

After the exercise, we sit under a big tree to rest. We drink a lot of water because we
feel thirsty. We fell healthy and alert too after the exercise.

20. CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

It was Chinese New Year last weekend. My family and I celebrated it at home. My
siblings and I woke up early in the morning and changed into new clothes

Our house was decorated nicely to fit the festival. In the afternoon, relatives and
friends visited us. My mother served them with food that she had prepared early in the
morning.

My father gave red packets to the children. At night, my siblings and I played
fireworks. We were on cloud nine.
