This five-day seminar focuses on known
and potential issues with drill-through
equipment in deep and ultra-deep
water, such as hydrostatic pressures
external to the BOP.
Based on knowledge gained from
over 2,000 rig surveys, this seminar
covers multiplex and piloted control
systems, BOPs, connectors, risers and
tensioners from all major manufacturers,
along with the latest know-how on
planning, maintenance, and routine
and emergency procedures. Recently
introduced equipment is also reviewed.
Who should attend?
Individuals working in the drilling
industry who are, or will be, involved
with drilling operations and equipment
in waters over 3,000 feet deep.
The man on the rig and supporting
engineers and managers will benefit
from this, the most comprehensive
seminar to date on deep-water drill-
through equipment issues.
Aims of the course
Covering both dynamically positioned
(DP) and deep-water moored rigs, course
participants learn the equipment,
systems and procedures that enhance
well control safety and reduce
downtime. The course also covers past
problems and solutions, in order to learn
from the experience of others.
The practical knowledge gained from
this seminar provides both immediate
and long-term benefits, allowing you to
improve your drilling operations with
greater reliability, efficiency and safety
while reducing downtime.
Delivery method
The course is presented in a classroom
setting. It is led by subject matter
experts using PowerPoint presentations,
animations, video and equipment
demonstrations.
Prerequisites
We highly recommend that course
participants have successfully completed
our Subsea Drill Through Equipment or
Well Control Equipment Course, or have
an excellent understanding of schematic
drawings, along with field and/or drilling
equipment experience.
